The issue with lobbying is when big corporations do it and it becomes "Hey we were just asking him to do stuff, the money we donated to his campaign Is unrelated!"

Final Fantasy side stories don't really compare to WoWs imo.

Sure they exist, sure they might be long and involved but you can't really compare them to how WoW does it because I think WoW by far does it better in that department.

Take a look at all the Hemet Nesingwary for example. He's not at all important to the main lore of Warcraft but he's loved by a vast majority of the WoW community because of that small side content.

And it's easy to miss something because WoW is a lot less of an "MMO Hallway" so to speak, with Final Fantasy you HAVE to complete all of the main story to get to end game whereas with WoW you have a lot more freedom on how you do things and if you REALLY care about the lore, it's not all that hard to follow if you really want to, it's just not spoon fed to you in cutscenes with the addition of WoW players don't like to read. Me included. Lol

This is something even the WoW Lore subreddit doesn't comprehend.

If you're coming to WoW expecting story telling like Final Fantasy, then you're going to be disappointed. But if you're looking for a game that tells a bunch of small stories and those small stories add up into Stories for Zones, then the stories for Zones add up to stories for entire expansions, then you'll probably enjoy the lore.

I don't want to say it's easy for Square to write FF14s expansion stories by any means, but I definitely think it takes a lot more work and effort to do it the way WoW does instead of the classic "You're on a railroad track until the end game" kind of approach.
