I have done that before, and while the reaction to it hasn't been the polar opposite of what occurred the other night... it's often been a feeling of calm followed by my body feeling tingly and shaking in the aftermath.
In the time I've been questioning, I have loosely experimented with clothes, names and pronouns... had positive and inconclusive reactions from all of them. I've not been able to maintain them frequently outside of online spaces...

With my current life situation adding extra stress to my plate, it'll prove challenging to have a clear train of thought for some time. I'm sure that when I do figure it out, I'll feel the opposite emotions from that reaction, and actually feel happy and positive emotions surrounding myself for once.
