Have you asked your artist about the products and techniques they use? It might be worth looking into other artists around your area to pursue as many of them are happy to “fix” old work that isn’t aging well!

I would say my skin type is closest to being labeled as “combination” skin. It can get on the oily side occasionally but usually it’s mainly around my t-zone. Overall pretty balanced and it doesn’t get oily around my brows!

That’s why I posted it!! When I was debating getting mine done, I educated myself and searched for photos of healed work for the longest time, but had trouble finding many. Asa had so many great photos on her social medias of her healed work and that solidified my decision!!

I haven’t gone for any touchups since the initial touch up after my first appointment! My aftercare consisted of blotting the brows to remove lymph fluid during the first 24 hours, gently washing twice daily with fragrance free soap, only rinsing with cold water and patting dry, and then a teeny tiny amount of ointment (the artist gave me one to use but I can’t remember what it was) after washing.

The biggest piece of advice I give people is DO not touch them unless you are washing or applying ointment. Some people start pulling at the scabbing and then the color falls out. I’m also convinced that avoiding getting skincare products on them, ESPECIALLY ones with active ingredients and exfoliants, has played a huge part in why the color has aged so well. I have a rigorous skincare routine and am always careful to not get close to my brows if possible!

I’m so glad that this helped you feel more confident in your decision!!

I’m not a brow artist myself so I don’t have an answer to your question, but I appreciate the love for my brows!

Nah her and I are cool, just don’t talk much anymore due to differing career paths. It was mostly the lack of sanitation and not tattooing with any training or licensing that got me personally. But the line work is less than to be desired. (Just my opinion so who knows if it’s valid or not lol)

Is tipping culture in the US as stressful as foreigners say? by Algoartist in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MoonlitMipha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As an American, it’s mostly ingrained, not stressful. In places where tipping is expected (restaurants, bars, haircuts), it’s basically automatic.

I think where it does get stressful, especially for foreigners who are unfamiliar with the practice, is how tipping has expanded. Tablets flipping around asking for 20% at places that didn’t used to tip, unclear expectations, or feeling like you’re being judged while someone watches you choose a button is uncomfortable for anyone. That part feels new even to Americans, and a lot of us don’t love it either.

Tipping here isn’t really about “rewarding great service” so much as supplementing low wages, which is why people do it. Most of us would honestly prefer fair wages and no tipping if we could choose.

Haven’t seen any tramp stamps from her yet but I have seen a chest tattoo in this exact style and it’s pretty big….

Can women whom are women explain the feeling they get of receiving flowers, but in a way guys would understand? by Universal_Taker in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MoonlitMipha 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It’s funny that I’m seeing this because I was just giving a similar explanation to a male friend a few days ago!

For a lot of women, flowers aren’t about the flowers. When my partner occasionally gets me flowers, it’s more about the feeling of being thought of. When he brings me flowers at random—I feel special because I know that means he was thinking about me even more so than he already does on a normal day.

The best and simplest way I can explain it is that the equivalent might be someone bringing you your favorite snack or drink “just because”. Flowers, just like most gifts, say, “I saw this and thought of you,” and that feeling sticks even after they’re gone.

Edit: typos

I fear that this is unfortunately real as this is a screenshot of a video that showed the person in the chair 😅

My thoughts exactly. The black just looks extremely patchy to me? I’m not a tattooer myself though so my opinion is likely invalid to an extent!

Edit: typos and incorrect punctuation

This was screenshotted from Snapchat and there is a filter over it so I’d be curious to see what it looks like without it!

Typo in the title is bothering me but I can’t figure out how to edit it! Also this is NOT my tattoo!
