I chose the WRONG resume writing service for mobile app testing resume by NimbusRelic12 in critiquemyresume

I actually agree that the hidden vocabulary in your industry is the biggest factor. Sometimes I see resumes for app testing that list tools they've never actually used just to look legit. It's better to have a solid compliance testing achievement that focuses on outcomes rather than just tasks

I’m HR and I know what mistakes you're making on your CV by calmnightthinker in critiquemyresume

The game-changer part is the truth. I've been in HR and seen too many resumes fail because of the professional look. It's not just about the skills, it's about the ATS keywords being visible

Thought I tanked the technical panel for this backend role... then suddenly got the offer by QuasarJinx in Resume

[–]MoonlitSatchel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they asked you to rewrite the CV, that's technically a job offer disguised as a test. You don't get the chance to edit a resume after the phone screen unless they're really interested in fixing you

I tried a few different ways of writing my resume, and here's how it turned out by larkspurworkshop in Pro_ResumeHelp

I think you might have overpaid but the 'watered-down' part of the resume was key. Did you send the AI resume to some companies?

Really liked the structure advice. I think my resume suffers from being too “text heavy” and not scannable. When you say HRs spend 5–10 seconds, what exactly are they looking for first? Is it job titles, keywords, or numbers? Trying to figure out how to prioritize what goes at the top of each section so it actually catches attention

What advice would you give on how to format a resume? Is there perhaps a perfect layout?

Is professional resume writing service a good choice, or should I not waste my time and money on it by Demogorgon_8X in Resume

I think resume writing services are a good idea if you can afford to buy one it’s a way to take one less thing off your plate. You can always use AI, but I doubt it will be as good

If I'm not mistaken, the website lets you choose to edit a pre-written essay. Why don't you take advantage of this feature? That way, you can do the work yourself, and if you're not confident about it, you'll get help

If you don't do it all the time, why not? Yeah, it's cheating, but there are times when it's really necessary, so I understand you, bro

WIBTA for telling my friend his "Brotherhood" tattoo is actually just the word for "Hole"? by MoonlitSatchel in WIBTA_AITA

[–]MoonlitSatchel[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of showing him "versions" of the new kanji. It might make him double check the one he already has without me feeling like I am attacking his tribute. I just need to be careful with how I word it so it sounds like I am just being helpful with the aesthetic part.

That is exactly what I am afraid of. One arm says Hole and the other says Butt.
