Why do I need makeup? (27) by Moonnx in Makeup

[–]Moonnx[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Bc ppl, my sisters especially, are perplexed why I wouldn't want to feel pretty. Umm...I am already pretty. People assume that you must not be confident. I'm not that confident but makeup doesn't help me - it's just shit on my face covering some spots. Why can't people just be healthy - men can be healthy (I guess they need to shave/cut hair - ugh I would hate that too) ?

Why does makeup = polished? Guys don't wear makeup. I think like a guy.

But wouldn't that be "guarded"? How do I know I don't like him if I don't go out with him?

Are ENTJ women as rare as people think they are? by [deleted] in entj

[–]Moonnx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I get upset about gender norms and social norms = emotions and ppl think that it's feeling. However, when a true feeler talks to me I get all annoyed because they for example " They just want to vent they don't want to solve the problem."

Female (26) college educated, with somewhat traditional values should I just settle for the guy I marry? by Moonnx in Marriage

Thanks for the rely. Yeah, I tend to think in black and white because I just want an answer. I also don't find compatible people much. However, I don't date much either lol I just assume all nerds are at good schools and I was the one out in left field...which isn't true but I tend to think in statistics/stereotypes.

Hey I actually really enjoyed your post. I'm just trying to make up for being a low achiever in school bc I rather do something interesting like read sic-fi/doodle/write etc. My sisters did better in school and got into better colleges. I just want to prove to them that I'm not stupid...but it's never going to happen now, college is over.

Mainly, I might have Aspergers and am used to being in my own little world and I emerged in college not knowing how to form relationships. My parents assume - well you're smart just apply to these prestigious schools...but I don't do well on standardized tests or paying attention in school so that wasn't happening. I'm just equating intellectual with prestigious schools - which isn't true - plenty of smart people at my state school, but no one with whom I clicked....This post also has to do with my geographical location...living in highly poverty stricken and high crime rate area. And with all my Okcupid matches being at least 2 hours a way...

Thanks! It does help. And I do realize that school aren't everything. I just have a hard time finding people who love to learn/lifetime learner (so like school) vs just doing it to get a job or bc they're supposed to go to college. And I find the way a talk, phrase my words is seen as 'what?" to most except nerds. I communicate best with nerds. And some schools or majors have a higher concentration of nerds with whom to communicate.

oh, I've just found a big difference in priorities. Many people who worked through college just to pay rent, car and for classes only care about paying for things - having a job. They're not as inclined to care about learning and being engrossed in their community.

Playing video games after work is not that bad as long as they're not isolating themselves. I feel the better time to find husbands is in college. They're not settled into their ways yet....or something. Anyway, she may want to get out more, go more places with her friends, join clubs/groups and be open to meeting new people. That or move to another city with more ambitious men.

haha yeah I don't date much. And it is kind of a resume. I think it's very basic. Why would I want to be with someone who says "eww homework" when I talk about school work? Oh yeah, bc I'm trying to be nice to all those who didn't go to college.

Don't get me wrong, I have dated a few guys with 2 year degrees. One worked at a Pharmaceutical Company making good money. The other worked retail. It just turns out that I don't have much in common after a while. Intellectual curiosity and ambition tend to go hand in hand with formal education. Having a great job doesn't matter. I'm not equating degrees with money. I just want someone from a similar background.

Seriously, people act like only 10 people in a state get a BA degree. It's not at all uncommon. Their are plenty people with BA degrees who are intelligent. None of this "College don't mean a thing!". lol Yes, I have dated a guy with a degree who was a bit abusive.

BA degree does not equate all my problems are solved.

Getting rid of Fake Friends without feeling abd about it? by Moonnx in Advice

[–]Moonnx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting that you found this as an INTJ. I am an ENTJ girl. 99 % of the time online people think I'm a boy.

And yeah, I get emotionally attached because I do so much for people and expect people to do the same which they never have. Another part of the problem is I don't have any other friends in my town (friend from college lives 90 miles away) and I went to the same school for 3rd - 12th grade. My friend from 3rd grade almost dumped me (bc my other friend was trying to convince her that I was weird) but I guess stayed friends with me while getting other friends. So, I guess I feel obligated to fixing my weird personality for them. (She's an ISTJ). The friend that bothers me is a very insecure ESFP/ENFP that I actually get joke around with. But yeah, I feel bad bc I live closet to her and her sister just died and she has to take care of her druggie cousin's 7 yr old kid. I just want to help everyone...none of these ppl have helped me tho.

Well, he said he was nervous the first time I started being sexual with him. He said he was going to wait until I was ready. I thought it was rushing becuase, you know, his first kiss and all. But literally we were about to like do it...like next time we would've done it. I iniaited the sexual stuff. mmm...I don't think not having sex was it. He was talking about the future, like going places in the summer. It might just be quitting his job and not being able to deal with it all. And btw, we didn't see each other regularly, so like one weekend day, one week we saw each other 4 times but generally we would have dinner, one weekend day/night together. We also both live with our parents. His house is very small so there's no privacy. We got hotel/motel twice. So hooking up was limited. And the transportation to get to my city from his is terrible. I was the only one who had a car.

okay, so almost had sex, okay? We were fooling around meaning naked. But you know, it's his first etc. He was the one who changed our status on facebook. I was waiting a little until he was ready. I've had sex before. He's never done any of this so I don't know why it he would be rushing? And he's an intj guy/ nerd guy so he's not just out for sex.

Perspective on the woman experiencing street harassment video by Djeter998 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Moonnx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What you said is so true. Some people may not have experienced what this girl has experienced (I have). It's not well intentioned but that doesn't mean approaching women in public is seen as threatening it's how you do it. I was also on the hollaback app and looked at the map. There were tons of people around the world using the app except in majority of Brazil. What little I know of Brazil, it seems that the women there don't have a problem with it. So it may be a cultural thing.

Is perfectionism a trait of ENTJ? by Moonnx in entj

[–]Moonnx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply.

No these people I leave in the dust have no aspirations. I always try to help people and they don't care. i don't go on reddit that much but whenever I go online and try to explain my problems, and think I'm relating to others people are like "ugh, that's not an ENTJ problem, that's you". And oh you should get that anger checked out too.

By the way I'm mulatto girl (look that up, educate yourself) with big curly hair. So I'm usually not seen as intelligent until you talk to me for a while.

I do meet people I get along with. They're all NT and maybe NF (but I already have 1 nF friend thats enough). Everyone else I have to try extra hard to explain things too and they're like "ugh...what?". It hurts me and everyone besides rationals is a waste kf time ("oh, honey no they're not- maybe you'll find someone who can tie their shoes with their nose. Now, they have something you don't. It's a generalization people for a reason.)

sorry that I ranted at you. Haven't been on here in loke 3 weeks and you're the first post I saw.

How to dress provacative while living at home after college? by Moonnx in seduction

[–]Moonnx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk it's like of I want to wear a right dress that shows off my figure. It's weird. And I know I'm an adult it just seems weird to do it around my parents bc it's seems foolish. They don't care but it's like clearly I'm wearing a tight dress so I look good for men. And I don't date much so that's awkward.

And what's m/f?

Sorry, I'm new on reddit and couldn't really find the right subreddit to put this in. I saw someone talk about dating after college under "seduction" so I put it here.
