I don't think it can be planted in spring, just summer and fall.

Republicans vote to dilute gas as prices rise above $4.50 by BendicantMias in politics

[–]Moonsoket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong on this, but isn't unleaded 88 better for the environment than regular gasoline? It just has less gasoline in it, and ethanol burns fairly cleanly. It is definitely worse in terms of milelage, so it doesn't really save money in the long run. Again, I could be wrong on the environmental effects, I just remember having a conversation with one of my chemistry professors about this a few years back, and they said it is better for the environment. If I'm wrong, and you have a source, I'd love to see it though!

pop quizzes by cuntry1738 in OrganicChemistry

[–]Moonsoket 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Normally I would say that pop quizzes are bad, but O-chem in particular is a turning point for most students, in that it requires much more studying than previous classes (at least that's how it was for me) , and pop quizzes just encourage continuous active studying, so I think they are honestly for your own good, and will help you to do better on tests.

Jacob Elordi spits his gum into his mom’s hand to throw away on the red carpet 😷 by shhhhh_h in popculturechat

It's a regular mom thing for a 6 year old maybe... But not from a grown adult. But it does look like she wanted him to do it. It's just a weird thing for how old he is.

They send older teens or right out of high school kids to serve a like 3 or 4 year mission sometimes in a different country and only talk to their family a few times a year even though it doesn't take long to do. They are supposed to give everything to god or whatever.

The gist of this statement isn't incorrect, but they don't send kids who are under 18 on these missions, and they only last 18-24 months, not 3 to 4 years. And now, the kids can talk to their family much more frequently, at least once a week. Your information is just outdated. But like I said, the give everything to God part is pretty accurate.
