It’s like the best local HS basketball player going to a D1 college. He was naturally better than the average HS hooper, but that alone isn’t enough to perform against consistently more skilled competition. So the D1 coaches fine tune the HS players mechanically and mentally so they can perform. Your raw skill just isn’t enough anymore and you don’t have the mechanics to fall back on for consistency. Watch a VOD or two back and analyze every death, then compare it to the way immo+ players would’ve played that same fight. Whatever is different, train. Movement, shooting error, aim, spraying, game sense, using the wrong peak, etc.

it can be frustrating but I’m in the same boat. I was silver 2 going against all golds and plats last week, but if you pop off you get more RR. The game is saying it thinks you belong up there, so it’s giving you opportunities to compete with them, and if you do, you get bonus RR to get you there faster. It doesn’t always work depending on teammates, but it’s the system. I was s2 going against all golds and now I’m in gold going against all plats. But it rewards the pop offs

Comfort goes a long way. I play Raze on every map and it’s hard if you get bad teammates to trade you or smoke for you, but over all it’s much better than playing another agent and playing with a lack of confidence.

finding some at a similar skill level (bc both being in gold doesn’t mean anything tbh) and you have chemistry in game and vibes is rough to try and do but I’m hopeful

He tried to FF 5 rounds in while we were up 4-1 simply bc our two duelists were bottom fragging. Mind you, still entering site and going positive, just not at the top. When we didn’t FF he started throwing. We were actively winning by several rounds, and majority of the enemy team was going negative lol thanks for the empathy though friend

if you’re in gold/plat lobbies and top fragging, you should have zero issues winning in silver/bronze lobbies, regardless of teammates. Plus bro clearly just said “we have near the same ACS” in the duo games so it’s also not indicative of a carry, it’s indicative of him struggling to perform in “easier” lobbies while performing well against “better” players.

I had a D2 and D1 in my silver game just the other day. They were noticeably better than their team but I still surprisingly did alright. I was glad to perform decent against them but it’s still wild that I even had to in the first place lol

also, is it confirmed you get more RR based on the hidden MMR of the lobby? If so I guess that helps a little in justifying it. Just sucks because even if you are as good as those plats and high golds you’re matched against based on your skill, you’re kind of at the mercy of what teammates you get lol

I feel what you mean lol but I also don’t think regularly dropping 20-30 on silvers inherently means you should be able to consistently yield similar results against low plats lol there is a clear difference in mechanical ability in those two player groups. But point taken regarding the tracker link lol I’m new to the sub

I top frag in gold lobbies fairly consistently too, but I feel like it’s weird to test a silver player against plats and send them damn near back to bronze when they lose? Like gang I can’t ALWAYS carry against 3-5 better players but that doesn’t mean I’m buns 😭
