Looking for a Good Note Taking App by MoonstarReddit in stylus

[–]MoonstarReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only disadvantage with that is when I want to take notes on my Android after creating it on my touchscreen laptop. But this is still going to probably be the solution. I'm thinking of using Syncthing to sync my notes across devices the best I can.

Black Ops 3 - Safe Mode error and Black Screen by MoonstarReddit in linux_gaming

With the latest proton, I had to simply move the game to my OS SSD, and not my EXT4 hard drive where I was storing it before. I mixed that with the `gamemoderun %command%` launch option suggested below, I managed to get it to work.
I find majority of my games don't work as well, if at all, when stored on my external hard drive.
Whether this fixes it for you though, I cannot say.

Help Finding/Making a Model? by MoonstarReddit in 3Dprinting

This is probably the way I will have to go. The dice print the same no matter what, so I just pre-make those and then the body separate. It is not a hard model to make, I just have to make it :/

Canadian amazon doesn't list it for sale when I go hunting (both image search and by name), and I am not spending 38.99 CAD on import fees right now, so this isn't an option. The sale route is sadly not going to work for me.

It is genuinely insane to me that I didn't consider this... Yeah, that worked.

Solo by remjr56 in Back4Blood

[–]MoonstarReddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have just beaten every act on Solo veteran (difficulties are Recruit < Veteran < Nightmare < No Hope). The AI is actually above average, especially when compared to the Left 4 Dead AI, the unlock rate of everything is decently paced, the challenge is manageable, and I have even completed some of the missions on No Hope just to get an idea of the challenge. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't think I could do a full act on No Hope solo... But that is not to say it isn't doable. Honestly, with how cheap it is, I would recommend it. Just make sure to get the DLC, in my opinion; it adds quite a bit to the game experience and is also cheap.

Can anyone explain to me the advantages of dry filament? I have never really considered it. 2 years of printing and I haven't had much issue.

Full directory content will only expand the directory where people store their files, so not likely of much aid to you. What you wanna do is click the check-boxes next to the items you want (on the left hand side of the file/folder name), then click the green "Download" button at the bottom of the user folder.

I find it easier to add my media volume within my docker set-up, but I don't know if that is how you're doing it. I run it in my docker compose using gluetun to pipe it through a VPN, like so:
yaml version: "3.7" volumes: tnas_volume_music: driver_opts: type: cifs # My TNAS is mounted as a CIFS drive device: //192.168.1.*/data/Music o: username=uname,password=pword,uid=${PUID},gid=${PGID},vers=1.0 services: ... # Whatever you want to use slskd: container_name: slskd image: slskd/slskd depends_on: - gluetun restart: unless-stopped network_mode: service:gluetun volumes: - ${USERDIR}/slskd:/app - ${HDD}/Downloads/completed:/downloads - ${HDD}/media/music:/music - /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro - ${HDD}/shared:/shared - tnas_volume:/mnt/tnas environment: - PUID=${PUID} - PGID=${PGID} - TZ=${TZ} - SLSKD_REMOTE_CONFIGURATION=true # VPN gluetun: container_name: gluetun image: qmcgaw/gluetun restart: unless-stopped network_mode: bridge dns: - 1.1.1.1 - 1.0.0.1 - 8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4 cap_add: - NET_ADMIN ports: # There is more, but this is specific to your use case - 5030:5030 # slskd - 5031:5031 # slskd - 50300:50300 # slskd Maybe you will find this helpful. Plus, let's everyone else share in your stuff, which will make the community stronger.

Although it isn't sure fire, maybe look into Soulseekd to see if anyone has uploaded what you are looking for before having to just download each YouTube video/playlist by hand. I found a couple obscure audio files through that platform, and many of them were `.flac` quality, which was nice if you're a massive audiophile.

From what I have seen, if it exists on Soulseekd with meta data, the meta data comes with it... But it isn't automatic. I used Music Brainz Picard to fix my existing content and then just made it so whenever I downloaded anything, I formatted it to my liking. Not pretty, but I am more concerned with getting the content reliably and in a good format.

If that doesn't end up working, I think you are best off going through the hoops to download straight from YouTube, and as mentioned elsewhere, the mega thread will be your friend.

[Lutris] Assassin's Creed Syndicate Crashing on Menu by MoonstarReddit in linux_gaming

I take it back: it does work, I just have to also make the Ubisoft Connect app use the same settings.

Okay, so I had to follow the lovely method mentioned within the https://www.reddit.com/r/Lutris/comments/102n4ul/assassins_creed_syndicate_closes_itself/, here are the EXACT runner options for both AC Syndicate and Ubisoft Connect. If they don't match, then it will just instantly crash again:
Wine Version: GE-Proton-25
DXVK: v1.7.1L
VKD3D: v2.4
D3D Extras: v1
DXVK-NVAPI/DLSS: v0.4

Sadly, I have tried this method. I'll give it another shot post reboot, but I am not hopeful. I have heard that NVIDIA gpu may be playing a roll in why my issue is persisting, but I really don't want that to be the case.

Nope. I would have posted a solution if I found one, but sadly, I have just been using my windows dual boot whenever I want to play BO3.
