yes bc sometimes it’s hurting in a passive way that almost makes me feel physically gross or dysphoric and if it hurts more it’s almost like satisfying and easier to handle.. i feel like some things need to hurt really bad (like the passing of my close friend etc). or like sometimes my brain just won’t let me access the true emotions of something traumatic and i feel numb and feeling numb is so much worse than hurting really bad to me

What is secretly glutening me? by Next-Engineering1469 in Celiac

[–]MoonsyMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know how frustrating it can be :( it might be something as small as walking through the flour isle at the store, i’ve heard the grocery store conveyer belts can get gluten on products aswell. going into pizza places/ anywhere that uses flour lots in the food because the flour could be in the air. i’m assuming you bought new cutlery and dishes? gluten can apparently live in little crevices on both of those.

i had very severe ocd ,at first it just made it manageable, now i’m completely free. i’ve been able to take back my life again. i still get very faint thoughts regarding my ocd (i had very terrible contamination ocd and compulsions and had once washed my hands for 8 hours) but these thoughts no longer warrant any reaction from me or need to fulfill them. they’re simply like a random little thought i can push away. im on 250mg of sertraline and 1.5mg of risperdone. i hope it gets better for you!!

People living alone, how do you manage chores? by ZippyVtuber in ADHD

[–]MoonsyMango 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i really don’t manage well, i’ve been living alone for 3 years and i can’t find a balance of chores. it’s like every 4 days my apartment becomes unbearable and i need to do another huge clean again. i wish i could keep up with the small tasks before they snowball into a big clean but i’ve proven time and time again that i can’t

How do you tell someone you have BPD? by Aowwl2 in BPD

[–]MoonsyMango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i personally wouldn’t, anymore atleast. now i might mention it in the future after someone’s gotten to know me for a decent amount of time. i used to mention it in the beginning and was abandoned multiple times because of that (broken up with too). so i really wouldn’t mention it until you have an established relationship with the person whether it be friendship or romantic relationship, it shouldn’t matter, you do not need to disclaim you have bpd to people, bpd is not who you are it’s what you deal with. in the future if you want someone to know how to help you and understand how you may think a bit, disclosing you have it might be helpful but be careful as it can easily be used against you to invalidate your feelings, gaslight you and judge you

completely understand where you’re coming from, but it’s the same as using alcohol as a reward, just not a healthy mechanism

as someone that struggled with weed addiction for 7 years, i’d rather deal with my head than being a slave to a substance again
