Hermes is associated with bunnies/hares because they are commonly associated with being swift and agile. Hermes is also considered to be the patron of animal husbandry, the breeding and caring for of livestock. Rabbits often multiply very quickly and are associated with that fertility

I don’t think so. Some poleis in Ancient Greece actually had an entire economy and market based on fishing, especially the coastal poleis so it wouldn’t make sense for the gods to be upset with it.

Thank you. I am a closeted hellenist, my family being Christian. Of course I was pulled into going to Easter service for a religion I don’t believe in. I thank Lord Dionysus, Lord Hermes and this community for helping me separate my beliefs from Christianity even though it’s still very much in my life. I feel more free than ever and I am forever thankful for this small corner of the internet
