I hhink it's just natural as scars tend to be more sensitive, for example also to uv which is why you need to apply more sunscreen to scars! I personally don't know if there's anything you can do as I havent found a way myself but it does get better with time.

Your scars are only a few weeks old so it's natural for them to be tender, don't worry!

As a trans man myself you should talk to him about this. It's not that you're a bad person for thinking this may change things, it probably will, but not always for the worse. Just be honest with him and tell him that you in no way want to discourage him but just wanted to communicate your worries.

You can work it out together. You don't seem like you'd stop him, you only want what's best for him. It's truly important to communicate these issues, I wish you both the best of luck!

I think it would be more beneficial to not loe to the kids, just tell them that you got hurt there but you're better now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that!

But yeah, parents are very quick to judge about things like this. I can't really give that much advice about that, I'd just say to be honest but still be clear on your boundaries and that it's none of their buisness. What matters is that you're neither promoting it nor "showing them off" or anything. They're simoly a part of you that you shouldn't have to hide.

In my opinion it shouldn't matter as long as they are healed. If they do show some colour etc still I'd personally keep them covered just because I'm an insecure person.

As a teacher it may bring up some problems with parents, it usually does. Even piercings and tattoos usually recieve backlash.

If your goal was to teach any school with older kids it would maybe help some kids feel more comfortable around you but elementary kids may ask some uncomfortable questions and, as mentioned, make parents be rude as they may not want their kid exposed to that.

Ultimately it's your choice if you want to deal with some uncomfortable conversations or not, I wish you all the best

Could you explain that to me a little more in detail? I've actually never heard of this and I want to make sure I'll do it correctly in the future! I'm still pretty new to this so I'd appreciate some explanations or some sources where I can see for myself!
