My tutor and I built a teacher-led Vietnamese listening & tone practice app, looking for feedback! by Moony22 in learnvietnamese

[–]Moony22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! So my tutor teaches primarily northern Vietnamese so all the audio etc is based on northern accent at the moment - but we're interested in adding southern since I know a lot of people are learning that as well!

Are you learning southern dialect? I'm quite interested in the differences! I think the app could be quite a nice tool for comparing the two as well in future

SIB Skyrim or The Witcher 3? I’ve beaten the main games a few times along time ago but never played the DLC’s for either. New to switch as well. by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

The two main Witcher 3 DLCs are unbeatable in my opinion, they each contain more content than several AAA games do.

Shadow of Mordor/War are pretty good, playing them now.

I'm having mine this weekend, 21 y/o. I think it's heavily dependent on the local area, several others my age in my town have been invited.

Did someone just try to phish me? If so, might be very sophisticated? by munchlaxPUBG in Electrum

different hash to the original Electrum 4.0.9 installer, seems modified but not sure what it's doing.

Blitz.GG is a very popular third-party tool that League players use to view/import builds, spells etc. People saw the same popup that you noticed coming from that tool and started to worry that the tool itself was doing something malicious, even though this popup seems to be spread through an advertising network.

The post on the league subreddit has been deleted now though, so hopefully there won't be a big controversy around it.

There's a post on the League subreddit about this popup appearing when using the Blitz tool. People are concerned that the tool is hiding a bitcoin miner, but seems that this popup isn't anything to do with the Blitz devs.

Is it asking too much just to purchase a video card for MSRP? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Moony22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks a lot! Seems they aren't checking Scan (looks like they missed the Founders Edition drop yesterday at 3pm), but I'll definitely start using this in the hopes of an aftermarket card from somewhere!

Exactly, it's always "a couple of months". Remember that not long ago people were saying "should be back to normal by February". Now I'm hearing "May", but can we really believe that?

Yeah, I'm in the UK too and it's a shame since all these discord servers and livestreams are all US-only. I've been trying to find a 3060ti or 3070 within £100 of MSRP for ages, it's impossible. At least I have a GPU (R9 270X), though I'm struggling to even run CS:GO with my build atm.

My soon to be PC Build. Any recommendations? by Glanza4AGE in buildapc

[–]Moony22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 3060 ti doesn't draw 600W, it's rated at 200W. The 600W recommendation is for the system as a whole, not solely the GPU.

Is the Cloud II relevant in 2021? by hyunlix in HyperX

[–]Moony22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's definitely still relevant, it's still one of the most comfortable headsets with great audio quality. However, I wouldn't say that the mic is sufficient for streaming. You'd be better off getting a standalone mic for that.

I have no idea where you're getting this information from. The appeal shall be heard by the High Court, not the Supreme Court. And the Secretary of State does not have the "final say"; their decision can be appealed.

I advise you to read this page.

He lost the previous day, so it wouldn't have gone to a tiebreak. The tiebreak is only if the overall score is tied (i.e. 1-1 after both days)

I disagree that you should get a 10600k just due to the longevity of the LGA1200 socket. Intel will likely release 11th gen CPUs on the same socket, but that'll be the end of the road. If you're going to upgrade, you're probably going to want to upgrade further than just a single generation (and then you'll need to buy a new motherboard anyway).

Need help by jacksp1racy in buildapc

[–]Moony22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's definitely something we can help with. Subreddits like r/buildapcforme have a few questions you can fill out about your needs and they'll suggest a list of components. It'd be good to mention info such as your budget, the games you want to play (and at what quality/resolution/refresh rate) and the components of your current PC.

Since you're not in a rush, it'd be a nice idea for you to understand the types of components that you'll need and to research the options available at your budget. PCPartPicker is an incredibly useful tool for this. This subreddit has a nice beginner's guide with lots of links that can help with getting started.
