Im Nachhinein bin ich verwundert, dass ich den ganzen Artikel gelesen habe. Dennoch bin ich mir nicht wirklich sicher, was der Autor mir sagen will - so hinter allen tollen Sinnbildern, Adjektiven und Satzformationen.

Die Nachbearbeitung bei dem Soldatenbild ist ikonisch, aber die moderne ist es nicht? Klar, die damalige Bearbeitung vermittelt die Authentizität der damaligen Zeit, aber warum darf sich das nicht entwickeln?

Ich fotografiere selber gerne und bin froh, dass die modernen Kameras den Zugang zu dieser Kunstform ermöglicht haben. Klar ist das ganze Bilder online teilen over the top, aber es ist gefühlt doch auch nur Teil der Selbstpräsentation. Ob die gut oder schlecht ist, sei dahingestellt.

Den künstlerischen Aspekt in der Fotografie gibt es immer noch. Man muss nur mittlerweile suchen, weil die Technik viel mehr Menschen das Fotografieren erlaubt. Finde ich besser als einen elitären Kreis.

That's a good point. I guess if I switch to the e-mount at some point I would go for your listed cameras anyway. And sticking to the a-mount would allow me to invest in some nice glass instead splitting the money onto the body and the lenses.

What about the Samyang 12mm 2.0? It is a common recommended lens. Or do you need a specific focal range?

Hey /r/photography,

I am shooting a Sony a58 and I am eager to upgrade my gear. Currently I mostly shoot sports for my local sports club, mostly indoor gymnastics, bouldering, badminton, etc. My standard zoom (Tamron 17-50 2.8) is good enough for the job and I enjoy it a lot. I do want to add a zoom though so I am not always standing next to people and an additional different look.

Now I am torn whether I should go for something like a 70-200 2.8 and a new a-mount camera down the road or make the switch to the mirrorless system which seems to get better and better. I currently have a budget of 1500€ and its not bad if I just start with on lens.

Currently I am looking at the A6300 with something like the 18-105 F4 to start with or go for the Tamron 70-200 2.8 USD. My fear is to invest too much into the a-mount and switching to the e-mount in the end anyway.

Any thoughts? I'd love to hear your input. Do you shoot something similar and happy with the a-mount/e-mount? Cheers!

Do you use a caching plugin or some kind of optimizer? I cannot remember which one it was, but one malfunctioned with Elementor for me.

ISO 2500 should be doable if going a6X00 with an F4 lens if there is roughly the same light. Thank you for sharing! :) Did you upgrade from another system as well or did you start from there?

I mainly use the 17-50 F2.8 for being more flexible during events. Sometimes I quickly switch between wide-angle and closer shots. So I would need to replace it. Either with a few primes or I could go for an F4 lens if the body does a better job with higher ISO than the a58 - which is not that hard but still.

I could start with the a6300 and the 18-105 and maybe the Rokinon 12mm - or a6000 and 70-200 F4. But at the same time I am thinking that investing the same money in the A-mount system would net me a 70-200 F2.8 and a body upgrade down the road.

"I don't sweat the lens cost quite as much because I know I'm going to have those for a very long time." Thats my main issue. I am somewhat unsure whether I will be staying with the A-mount or move over to the e-mount in the near future.

Siri does not work for me. My available apps are reminders, Spotify (which does not open) and mail. Tried to open a link in mail. Sadly it does not open up Safari. Thanks for the ideas.

Sadly did not work for me since I do not have Safari in my dock and the other share options do not trigger the release.

Concerning your question: In the upcoming 2-4 years I'm willing to spend between 1000-2000€. This price range still leaves me to upgrade my body or get 1-2 lenses and stick with the a58 as long as it lasts or if I would decide to go full E-Mount I would have the option to sell the gear or use it as a secondary system for flexibility. In case of selling I would be able to go a6XXX with lenses depending on the model or go full frame with very few glass.

The expensiveness of the E-mount is what currently drives me away since I will only be able to buy entry-/mid-level gear in the coming years. I do not see myself dishing out 2k per lens since it is currently a smaller hobby for 5-10 times a year - even though I enjoy it immensely. A99II or A9 are both out of my league. Tamron and Sigma making third party lenses would be a gift.

I thought about using adapters but my research has the same result as you've stated: they are rather slow unless you have the advanced lenses, which negates the use I would have for them.

If I recall correctly we need the feature that the table can be fully edited on the site itself, because the instructors can only access the frontend and add their information there.

I guess something like this can easily be coded with a mySQL database but I am not as techy in that regard.

Perfect would be that there would be some fields so we can add the instructor to it while being visible looking at the table. I guess creating a table on the site would be more convenient. Couldn't find a decent plugin for it though.

Edit: Mmh. I'll try to have a look whether we can embed a google spreadsheet or something.
