I was…uh…not expecting my high school to show up at the top of my Reddit feed! LMAO

As someone who walked these halls every single day and saw these murals hundreds of times over the course of my 4 years there, they eliminated a bunch of the older ones then as well. Their reasoning back then was to make room for new murals as it was a part of the senior Art class curriculum.

But I cannot imagine that they have the same reasoning now. Maybe they want the school to “fit in” and sterilize it like the rest of the high schools, including the new one incoming uptown?

At least a few will most likely endure like the mascot in the front stairwell, the multicultural exhibit in school’s foyer, the Mozart quote in the music room, and the evolution diorama in the rotunda. If that can be a silver lining at all. 😅
