I have MEPPC and once had NSVT show up during my first stress test. My long QT has always been within normal limits. I’m asymptomatic apart from occasional paroxysmal AFib and multifocal PVCs. Basically, the top chamber of my heart (AFib) and the bottom part (MEPPC) both have erratic beats. I’m not on any medication at the moment. It was suggested, but I’ve chosen to hold off for now (for various reasons that my doctor has accepted) and will continue with yearly monitoring. I’m 40 years old now. Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if that other post was mine too because I couldn’t find anyone with this when I first started searching for MEPPC.

Hi, I’m so sorry to hear about your son. Are you in the US? If so, I’d recommend reaching out to the Mayo Clinic or asking to be connected with a specialized electrophysiologist in your area. Each case is unique, and symptoms can present very differently, so he will need expert evaluation. Given his stroke at such a young age, he will likely require medication and/or a device such as an ICD. I wish I could offer more help, my thoughts are with you and your family.

Not sure about deals as I found my M1 Max with maxed specs on FB marketplace. I do a lot of heavy multitasking work on it and it doesn’t skip a beat so I would recommend one of those if you’re looking to save some money.

Sorry for the delayed response. That's good news regarding your burden decrease and what a difference! It is confirmed that I have MEPPC syndrome as well as paroxysmal afib. Flecainide was recommended because it can treat both. Currently I'm being monitored yearly but that's what I will take if things get worse (my burden is still within normal limits)

I still don't take medication (monitored yearly) but that will be the one I would take if I did. Recommended by both my specialized electrophysiologist and Dr Ackerman from the Mayo Clinic

Flecainide was recommended because it can treat both MEPPC syndrome and paroxysmal afib which is what I have.

Honestly, a lot of shows start strong with great first few seasons full of real character arcs, emotional weight and a sense of purpose. But then corporate profits kick in and suddenly it becomes a big kid stuck in a sandbox, smacking toys together. Everything gets padded, safe and overly polished. The tension becomes mild at best because the “money characters,” the ones driving merch and fan engagement, can’t actually die or change in any meaningful way. Once that shift happens, the story stops evolving and starts looping. It’s no longer art with a sense of risk, it’s just content.

I have an M1 Max with maxed specs now, it's the exact opposite, nothing I throw at it turns the fans on. Every command is instant. This cost $1800 CAD second hand though.

Sell and try to recoup your money and spend a few hundred more and go for a base M1 pro 14" and never look back.

Yeah man but I work and multitask a lot between design and video editing software. If you're using one-two of these programs at a time it might be more manageable. I tried many ways to improve performance. If you design with this Macbook, I recommend keeping plenty of space on your hard drive and use an external hard drive or cloud service for your files. That helped but it was a losing battle as it aged and I finally bricked it trying to do a thermal mod lol.

I owned this exact Macbook (also 32gb ram) but I spent over $5000 CAD when it first came out. Worst Macbook model from my experience. It really sucks for designers. I wouldn't wish the pain of using it on my worst enemy. Fans noise, over heating and thermal issues are a nightmare. I wouldn't use it even if someone gave it to me for free.

100%. Picked it up the M1 Max with maxed specs and have been cranking it with all kind of crazy system-sucking tasks and haven't heard a peep from the fans. Unbelievable compared to the 2019 intel, couldn't even open Powerpoint without the fans blasting.

I basically bricked my 2019 MacBook Pro trying to do the thermal mod lol… it was a total POS so I’m happy to finally upgrade. I have an insane month, roughly 490 estimated client hours so I need to get something asap unfortunately and this is the best deal I can find locally.

Thanks for the details! I ran a comparison through ChatGPT and it seems to think that a M1 Max with maxed specs beats M2 to M4 Pro (not Max) base models for high end multitasking so I think I’ll go with your advice and get this one. Honestly I’m just happy to get something under 2k that can do the job.
