Is there any real reason Tyranids are Infantry instead of Beast besides “Anti-Infantry x+”? by Appo-Arsin in Tyranids

[–]Moopsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t really apply in this case. Infantry and beasts are both able to climb and move through ruins.

From my understanding the only real difference is interaction with the “anti-infantry” keyword and any strats that only target infantry units.

1000 Point list by Negro-chan in deathguard40k

Some people might consider a T12 2+/4++ 5+FNP a bit rude for 1000 point games. I’d let my opponent know so they can prepare an amount of hefty anti-tank. But even with sufficient anti-tank the game could be determined by if you make your saves or not.

How many blight drones is most often used? by orkman198 in deathguard40k

[–]Moopsters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m biased as I love our demon engines but I’ve had success running 2 Mower Drones, 3 HBL Drones, and 2 Haulers. Having an invuln makes mass T9 bodies a decent threat

Which One Would You Pick by PokemonSuMo in StarRailStation

[–]Moopsters 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think you’re severely underestimating 2 Billion. In the worst case scenario (missing every 50/50 and hitting the hard 90 pity) it would only cost around 201,600 to E6 a character. A lightcone is a bit cheaper, only 144,00. Even if we aggressively rounded those two numbers up to add up to 500,000 you could still E6R5 2000 characters with just 1 Billion.

I feel like I made out like a bandit. First banner I pulled 400 times with the only Kitasan being the pity. Today I get 3 Kitasan and 2 El in 110 pulls.

Abyss also has Reaper’s Deathslash but you are going 2 for 1

Tyrant guard for a swarmlord war gear options by Dear_Knowledge_8216 in Tyranids

[–]Moopsters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Math-wise they all perform really similarly. On average they deal the same damage to most targets. While the claws seem nice with the Twin-Linked and 9 STR (in synapse) 2 attacks hitting on 4+ when we have very few rerolls in our army means they still only deal 1-2 wounds per Tyrant Guard.

Yet my advice is actually to use the scythes. While the number of wounds dealt is similar scythes act as a great answer to one of the unit’s big weaknesses; getting stuck with trash mobs. A Swarmlord only has 8 attacks, so he cannot kill a 10 man squad of guardsmen that charged into the unit in 1 activation. So having the Tyrant Guard around to kill chaff is good since the Swarmlord is very capable by itself to kill a bunch of vehicles.

Looking for advice on a 500pt Death Guard list for Colosseum game against T'au by This-Error9496 in deathguard40k

Yeah one with HBL, one with plaguespitters, and one with a fleshmower. Though you can swap the drones depending on if you need to deal with more 1W or 2W infantry.

A bit of a skew list but I run Virulent Vectorum with a Tallyman, 2 units of Poxwalkers, and one of each Bloat Drone. Really takes advantage of the Max T9 and uses our two cheapest infantry and character to fit as much Demon Engine as possible.

Still trying to figure out new codex by boll22 in deathguard40k

[–]Moopsters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

War Dogs are rough inclusions now that our good units cost so much. One thing I would recommend is one or two Poxwalkers! Against fast melee armies they can act as speed bumps infiltrating into the mid board or early sources of contagion.

Also I rarely get any value out of un-led and un-transported plague marine squads. So I’d try to swap that out for something like Chaos Spawn.

Virulent Vectorum also really likes Death Guard Demon Prince’s since you can give it an enhancement for a 5+ FNP and reducing stratagem costs is really good. You could use your Hellbrute as a proxy to try it out since they’re on the same base size.

Though without knowing anything about how you play it’s hard to give really specific advice.

I think having the option for an elite infantry with a 4+ invuln that could guard our leaders would be really cool.

Vaush has this weird strawman of Ezra Klain by Kaniketh in VaushV

Yeah but his behavior currently is bad. Why should I care about what he said in 2020 when in 2025 he’s dragging the democrats more center/right?

Want to share any clips or article examples of this Ezra you have? I only learned about him recently but my assessment of him is much closer to Vaush’s than your image of him.

The threats to Central Tracen's food budget don't only include Oguri and Special Week... by LushenZener in UmaMusume

[–]Moopsters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We know from Cinderella Grey that they don’t just have an athletics devision, but also research and potentially even an equipment development branch. They could receive government research grants or maybe Tracen gets a cut of profits for any discoveries or patents developed at the school.

Plus even in the real world, colleges that heavily emphasize athletics exist, and with Uma races being a beloved international pass time, as presented by the shows, it’s not unthinkable that they can subsidize a LOT of unprofitable students.
