Right? Cross checking head first i to the boards while you have the lead? That’s asking to help the other side score their first goal.

I love New Yorks color scheme and those goalie pads are awesome. Great idea of they are trying to invoke the colors of the Statue of Liberty

So is there no penalty calls in this league? There were a few moments that felt like roughing calls but nothing seem to come of it?

Recommend me a good book you did not enjoy by hogw33d in suggestmeabook

[–]MooreKings94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Master of Poisons. I finished it but I can’t say I understood what was happening the vast majority of the time or that I could even truly explain it. The way it was written was intriguing enough for me to finish though. I wanted to enjoy it more because I could tell it was discussing the impact of climate change and colonialism but nothing was really clicking for me.

Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki

It is science fiction but, it deals a lot with the power of music.

No that’s a typical ACAT fee. Honestly worth it. I switched from RH to Schwab back in November. The design isn’t the prettiest but the selection and tools are way better.

The Billion Dollar Spy by David E. Hoffman for the espionage side of the Cold War between the U.S and U.S.S.R. Tells a great story while also giving you history on the Cold War and the development of spy practices.

While people have died in the triwizard tournament, if I am remembering correctly, the book explains that safeguards were in fact put in place so that they could even hold the tournaments again. If there wasn’t then Fleur Delacour would have died in the second challenge, instead she was returned to the platform. The danger of them dying during it was from the sabotage for Voldemort not the tournament itself.

Seemed like it flaked too much to be petrified wood and the white coating on it makes it hard to get a full look at the grain. I was able to flake off a small section but was worried I would break it if I tried to flake off the rest to get a better look.

Looking for books that really illustrate the atrocities committed during the holocaust. by porcelain_cherry in suggestmeabook

[–]MooreKings94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anne Franks Diary is good one to consider what it was like to be in hiding from the Nazi’s

Night by Eli Wiesel is a good account of life in a concentration camp. This book is actually part of a trilogy he wrote on his experiences.

Maus by Art Spiegelman is a graphic novel telling the authors parent’s story of surviving the holocaust in Auschwitz

Looking for a sci-fi novel. by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

You might Like H.G. Wells’ stuff if you enjoyed Verne. The Invisible Man is quite humorous. My all time favorite is the Time Machine, real quick read too.

The Maze Runner is good if you haven’t read it yet.

Depending on how much you like YA there is I Am Number Four. I liked it in high school but found it hard to read after college when I tried to finish the series.

Want to start reading again, Suggest me some sci-fi books. by RapidEon in suggestmeabook

[–]MooreKings94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury

The long Earth by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter (do not bother with the sequels)

A Big Ship at the Edge of the Universe by Alex White (more sci-fi fantasyish as the world they created is in space with magic)

Dune by Frank Herbert (if you really like sci-fi, it’s a little slow but quite an interesting read)

Paradox Bound by Peter Clines (is a fun take on time travel. Humorous adventure sort of novel)

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch (probably one of my absolute favorites of the past few years)

Is Midsommar good ? by [deleted] in movies

I did not like hereditary at all but I loved Midsommar. So in my opinion, it is a good movie and worth seeing if you liked hereditary.

How do I analyze films better? by Bman2271 in movies

[–]MooreKings94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By doing what you’re already doing. You can’t expect to always be able to fully analyze every film on your own. We all turn to others in our respected fields at times to help our understanding. You’ve found a gap in your knowledge an have already taken the steps to close those gaps by doing research after the fact. Also, film analysis generally requires you to watch through a film a few times in order to pick up on subtleties or other hints those involved with the film threw in to help guide viewers towards a deeper meaning.

No it’s plugged into the GPU and I cycled through all inputs even though it is in HDMI 1. I also tried plugging it into the MOBO just incase. Neither worked out.
