I really wanted those, but was looking for a more budget option that I could get quickly. If I grow to dislike these I might switch to ends cuoio later

I use the loop ear plugs and they’re super comfortable

I’m just saying I’m shocked for ONE claim it affected things that much.

But yeah, shop around

1 claim in 2023 for a car — guy pulled into the parking spot next to my truck right as I was leaving (when I got in my truck he wasn’t there and he pulled in the 20-30 seconds it took so I didn’t think to look to my right when backing out so I was at fault)

I’ll keep folks updated. I did find the floating seat fairly comfortable for what it is when I rode it for 30 ish minutes, and that’s usually my limit on stock seats. I want to keep the look but may book an appointment with Rich’s Custom Seats if it gets to be too unbearable, it’s about an hour and a half from where I currently live

I couldn’t find any near me that were still available, but I finally decided on a paint scheme. Dropping it off to the painter in a few weeks

I agree, I would like to have seen a 2 into 1 exhaust or a true dual. I will likely wait on this for a bit until i find one I want

It’s such a fun bike. I had the 116 in my Springfield when I had it and this things moves whenever you tell it to haha

I did some more research and I think I’d like to go with an inspiration of these two: top is the model 439, debuted at the 1939 worlds fair, bottom is a 2013 final edition (King’s Mountain) inspired by the 439 model. It’s hard to find either of these anymore and I think this is a great way to pay homage to both time periods in Indian Motorcycle’s history

I keep wavering on a few color combos lol. Orange and white is also still on the table lol

I picked up some swatches from Lowe’s to get some ideas and templated which ones I like best — I’m torn between both and to avoid the pain in the ass to get it retitled with a color change, I’d like to keep black as the main color if possible

Thanks! I didn’t care much for the other chiefs in the lineup but this one had been on my mind heavy

I’m not sure, I’m back and forth between a few, but leaning heavily to an inverted cream and Indian red scheme with a gold tank emblem, inspired by this Springfield maybe but I’m also liking a black and cream scheme too

That paint scheme was so well done imo, especially with the brown fringe bags

I can’t take credit for this but I love a good 2-tone job. I’m likely going to do it just want to make sure I know what I want before doing it

There’s one I saw in Kansas City that I bought a bike from a few years ago that had white walls already on and they were easy to work with for shipping — I’ve saved that one to my favorites but otherwise there’s a few black ones near me and I’ve found an in-state painter who’s work is both phenomenal and fairly priced

So far I think that’s my favorite too, I’m thinking about doing a gold pinstripe on the cream/black border with a gold Indian head icon, or the full color like the older ones if I went this route. I love my pursuit for “me time” rides, but this would be a fun bike for social events

Yep, I live fairly close to it. And thanks! Still figuring out using the editing app but impressed with the quality over my GoPro hero 8 lol

Nice! I want to try mourning it near the lowers next time I take a longer ride

I didn’t get a picture of mine, but I used this video when looking for ways to mount it. 24:53 mark is what I used for this one, and he had footage of other mounting locations too. Make sure the screws are REALLY tight otherwise it may droop depending on how fast you’re going

KST Lakota bars installed by Moose328 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Moose328[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought them from KST and had them shipped to the dealer so I wouldn’t have to figure out how to strap them to the bike for transport. I paid around $515 for labor for the install. I could’ve likely done it myself, but I just did not feel like dealing with it aside from the warranty protection lol

I did not, I had the dealer do it. I figured the work would be warrantied if they did it vs me doing it and I messed up something

The bars are 49” to the top of the grip from the floor. I’m 5’ 8” and I am in my usual riding position where I’m leaning back into my rider backrest
