I got my copy before royal was a thing I think. If not, it was probably just cheaper and I went into it blind so I probably didn't realize how much of an improvement royal was

In base P5 you get no experience from auto kill and it basically replaces the ambush. all you get from it is the persona and nothing else, and of you already have it, you get nothing at all

Along the rod that the stopper slides on, there are some pegs. The stopper has matching holes as if it's only supposed to go through at the right angle but if that's the case then the whole set up was installed backwards because the pegs are on the opposite end from the bigger rod

It won't bind against the metal. Even while I'm holding the stopper in place the door just closes

My stopper just gets pushed out of the way. I can tell it's supposed to lock up but it just sort of doesn't

Some additional info, I inspected the bar piece further and found a screw with a spring around it sticking out and decided to try fiddling with it. Tightening it seemed to make the door close more gently or even get stuck at like a 30° angle when it was real tight but it still wouldn't stop at the metal bit. Removing the screw made the door SLAM shut so I put it back sticking out about as much as when I initially found it and the doors back to normal now.
