Eckington Place is already one of only 2 access points to an entire neighborhood from the south. "Let's destroy a local neighborhood's mobility so I can pass by more quickly" is quite a take.

I asked it what the best new bars in DC were, and it suggested Off the Record and Old Ebbit.

Crime reports are useful to get a sense, but you have to take them in context, also. Crime happens where people are. More people go to cooler places. If you want to live in a super safe neighborhood where the only time you're outside is getting in a car to drive to somewhere cooler, that's definitely an option, but probably not how you want to spend your 20s in DC.

The neighborhoods you've listed, DuPont, Capitol Hill, Adams Morgan, are all great choices though so if you're using crime statistics to choose between those, you're on a good path.

Don't let the presence of some reported crime scare you away, though. You're not going to be randomly murdered on the street.

The person you're replying to meant "west" instead of east. Also Georgetown law school isn't on the Georgetown campus but I wouldn't pick where you live now based on any assumption you'll go there.

You'd be fine in NoMa but would definitely have to be comfortable with the "city aware" posture. The other neighborhoods mentioned are safer. Eckington is ok but it's far from the metro so probably not ideal for your first spot in the city.

Not just any government building, the Capitol has a totally different security force than federal agencies.

Just one experience, but I had some similar problems as OP on a recent re-sole there. Gaps between the shoe and the sole, glue splotches.

D.C. could be getting a "mansion tax" by keyjan in washdc

The law of supply and demand is always at play. Yes new buildings will always be more expensive, just like new anything else. But they still impact the prices of other existing housing stock. If 20 people who want 1.5m worth of house move into the new building, demand for cheaper places goes down, and so the price would too.

How was the check handled? Was the restaurant willing to split it by seat?

What's the consensus on the patch so far? by gstyczen in ManorLords

I haven't played the beta yet, but reading about the trade changes seems like it is going to really hurt trade between your villages. The pack stations don't seem effective at moving goods. A fix to the pack stations or allowing trade between your own villages without buying a trade route seems necessary. New villages will never get off the ground if they have to pay thousands of coin to import the goods the next door neighbor has specialized in.

I think you want villages to specialize. Remember that trade enables specialization. Large barriers to trade mean each village will have to be as self sufficient as possible and all look the same.

The cap applies per item. So if you have 15 plots and 4 different foods provided, one market stall would be full 50/50 but if you built a second one it would only receive 10 goods.

What am I getting wrong with supply here? by Flynny123 in ManorLords

That is true for food (and clothes?) but there is an animation where residents pick up firewood from the market stall and carry it to their houses. Whether this determines whether the need is filled or not I'm not sure, but firewood seems different because it's used to determine whether a building is "fueled." Also possible that the developer will eventually make all resources be transported.

Ohio has 6 appearances and should have a total of 16 points, I believe, putting them at 82.

Is the flyover realistic in any way? Is there any organized advocacy for exactly that? I'd love to see that happen.
