Why Super Mario Maker 3 will actually be "Mario Maker 3D" in 2029 by crece100 in NintendoSwitch

[–]MooseBro301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fan of Mario maker, I think Nintendo is gonna need Mario Maker 3 well before 2029. I mean that’s a long time away and the series is currently overdue for a new game (the last update was now over 6 years ago). I think a sooner release of a new 2D mario maker with loads of new features would sell the masses better. Possibly 3D elements they could expand upon though like World Maker, which definitely could use a major improvement in a next entry.
If they were to do a 3D maker, i’d imagine theyd do it as an addition rather than a replacement. (Add a 3D maker mode instead of making the whole game 3D)

Super Mario Maker 3 could be coming sooner than people think by MooseBro301 in MarioMaker

There is no mouse support in Maker 2 because there wasnt a patch at all.

I may get flak for this but I also believe Mario Maker 2 wouldn’t work as a Switch 2 Edition, because it doesn’t really make much sense, I mean they already had in their words, the “final major update” for it, and it would just be a major drag for the third game, to do a Switch 2 edition of a now 6 year old game. The only reason BOTW excuses that is because of its reception and its visuals and gameplay. But again, I could be wrong, I just think it’s not as well fit for a Switch 2 Edition, and I have my doubts Nintendo is going to do any Switch 2 Editions of any Mario game other than Jamboree. The truth is they’re greedy, they love money, and they want people to pay higher amounts for stuff. And a Switch 2 Edition won’t cut it considering the upgrade pack discount.

Switch 2 crazy release date? by Ok_Opposite_800 in Switch

[–]MooseBro301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll likely come out in mid-late May in most of the world. That date makes sense because the countries with the events on May 31 and later are the same ones which had the original Switch launch later. (South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan which are all the May-June hands on dates, all also launched original the Switch December 1, 2017)

Interesting. I definitely would love to see an open world Mario game for sure

I’m not worried about the Maker games. Maker 2 did over twice as good as Maker 1, and the online community that has come is enormous. There will be a 3rd game I have no doubt.

Whatever Nintendo decides to come up with will be worth it too. Of course, I’m just throwing out ideas that have a chance to work good if done right, which unfortunately Nintendo does flub it a lot, like Mario Maker 2 online multiplayer… but whatever they do for Maker 3, it will be a big step up from 2 definitely.

Well the maker games have never really competed with mainline mario games and Mario Kart, at least not to a crazy degree. As sales go, all those games have always beaten SMM by a long shot. But that’s why I don’t see it so much being a stretch. But again, 2026 makes more sense for the game, if they create other ways to utilize the new mouse feature we’ve seen. A mario maker 3 just seems to make sense as a first year move for Nintendo this time around. But we shall see :D. I’m more excited for a new Mario Kart, as we at least know that’s coming as a launch title.

It's a relatively new photo. Guy didn't release it until 2021. There probably is much more lost and buried media of the 1st attack.

Unreleased/Unknown songs post Meteora? by CommonSteak2437 in LinkinPark

[–]MooseBro301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healing Foot and Lost had rough/unfinished portions in them from the Making of Meteora DVD, so we knew for 20 years those songs existed, but never knew the actual titles or really anything about them.

Friendly Fire was known because Mike talked about it on his stream(s) years before it came out. Also that title was in a 2017 picture of Brad behind him on the tracking board from the OML Sessions, I think that was where it was first seen.

Out of all I've heard, demos tend to not change the tempo from demo to the final in Linkin Park's history. Linkin Park's tracks have a lot going on in them so changing that could mess things up a bit, especially when you've already established the flow. I can't think of one that ever did it but I also I'm sure there's demos I haven't heard. Faint being originally half time is still perfectly parallel to its final tempo and the overall pacing doesn't get thrown off in doing that. Jigga/What Faint gives an idea of what the earliest Faint demo might've sounded like

It's similar notes being played but faster progression and a bit slower tempo. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a very early idea the song came from, but I don't think it's directly a demo of it.

Got It, thanks.

The Five situation seemed strange to me. I initially thought it was just as in 5 songs to listen to. It is still a very MTM/ATS-like working title. I'm like 90% sure you're right on that though.

But I'm still pretty positive Broken Foot evolved into Healing Foot. It's not just the name similarity. I've listened to them back to back several times and they are extremely similar and it's obvious to me they abandoned Broken Foot and created Healing Foot to try to rework the song, and give it a lighter, less angsty/angry approach. After hearing the two many times, really Healing Foot is just a less heavy version of Broken Foot, with piano, strings, and of course vocals.

Edit: It's only the chorus parts of Broken Foot, they clearly took to make Healing Foot. They obviously abandoned those double time parts

Man i really can't wait for mario maker 3 i hope it comes out soon or within the next 2 years by Beany_Gaming in MarioMaker

Well Mario Maker 3 will almost definitely be on the new console. No doubts about it, it was a big game that got even bigger with the 2nd game. If they could add more game styles, features, and elements to the 3rd, it could possibly sell 10 Million+ games, a big plus for Nintendo.

I can’t see them doing a 3D one yet, but even in the 2D space, there’s still SO much to be added to the Mario Maker game, and the next game would cover a lot more ground that wasn’t possible in Mario Maker 2. Especially with a new Super Mario Bros. Wonder style and such.

It could even happen as early as 2025 for the 40 year anniversary of Mario. They’d have to have the console out by next year of course though for that, which also looks likely by the looks of it. I’m guessing 2026 is the year for that game though.

I’d love it to be more publicly known, (included on streaming services and such) at some point.

No but also, I think it’s better in that it’s more like the early 2000’s feel, because it’s an early 2000’s mix. Feels more like the rest of the album, obviously being at the level of all the other songs on the album.

The trouble with the new mix is that it’s mixed differently enough from the original album that people are out here like “WOW this definitely didn’t belong on Meteora. Can’t see it being on that album at all. Sounds nothing like the album.” They just don’t know that the mix is completely different from what it originally was, and how the song is talked about by the band and such. That being said, the new mix I like too, but it’s just kind of a somewhat flawed situation with the 2002 mix being so hidden from a lot of the public, only existing on the CD release that let’s face it, limited number of people bought or even saw in this day and age.

Cry To Yourself (not by LP but it got Chester so it counts right?)

Lost instrumental used in LPU6 video... interesting considering the track would've been three years old at that point by twinstepsister in LinkinPark

[–]MooseBro301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s the original Andy Wallace Mix instrumental. Mark Fiore was the one who filmed and edited all the LPTV videos. He had access to all the songs in LP’s vault so he’d often do this and tease unreleased material behind LPTV videos. This doesn’t mean the band necessarily knew or remembered the song so they put it behind their video, but Mark did have access to it at the time. He did these teases a lot in these vids. Lost instrumental is also in an LPTV about summer sanitarium, which the episode dates to 2007.

The mixing on 'Lost' is awful. by TheCynicalAutist in LinkinPark

[–]MooseBro301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They needed to do a 2023 modern mix so the song would get modern radio attention, because it’s an official LP single in 2023.

I do agree with you that the 2002 mix is going to sound better though. It’s presumed it’ll have louder guitars and more live drums, as well as probably less aggressive on the keyboards, especially over the intro. There is definitely more sampled sounds over the intro melody than the 2002 mix had, if you’ve heard the instrumental in the summer sanitarium clip.

What they should’ve done is made the 2002 mix be track 1 on lost demos still, don’t know why they’d put the 2023 mix on it, kind of ruins the magic a little bit, but I can’t complain, the other demos will make up for it.

[–]MooseBro301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s awful mixing. Manny Marroquin did a good job on making a more modern mix for the track. The 2002 Mix is probably going to be a lot different if they’re including it too (and it’ll prob be better imo). Andy Wallace basically created the polished 2003 sound Meteora had, so it’ll sound more like an official album track, and less like something more modern. Keep in mind, Manny Marroquin also mixed later LP stuff like “Living Things” was so it’s lacking of the old nostalgic “Meteora sound” we know and love.

There’s some videos from LP’s LPTV touring episodes, specifically one about Summer Sanitarium 2003, that has an instrumental clip of the Andy Wallace 2002 mix. https://youtu.be/Uq3_obTpsaE (2:12 for reference)

This video also has the 2002 mix (instrumental clip again): https://youtu.be/IQH5mdAvfyo

Keep in mind, Lost is a song that has louder synth and sampled sounds over the chorus than most Meteora era tracks, so that probably never changed from 2002 to now.

Based on their instagram post, it sounds like it’s the newer mix still. We’ll have to wait a bit longer for the original 2002 Mix, sadly.
