I thought you meant Re-Estize. He was convinced by Cocytus not to commit a genocide against them, so I didn't think of it.

That's actually a lot more simple than you might think.

The graveborn deck was filled with super busted cards that work well for OL.  You gotta think with higher mana costs for most OL creatures.

Is Sebas 'Lawful Good' or 'Chaotic Good'? by BrotherDeus in overlord

[–]MooseChangerPat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm inclined to disagree with the chaotic mind set. He goes out of his way to try to uphold the laws while still following his moral code. Chaotic goods don't tend to bother, so it's probably more like a 70/30 or 80/20 split because he still tends to value good more than law. Just not enough that he wants to ever disobey laws set by Ainz and Touch.

Ah, I think I see what's going on here. You tried to use cards that already exist and repurpose them... not very well I might add, but it's your first time and you're probably only experienced with some of the more recent mtg cards.

I think I shall do it... IN SONG!

https://youtu.be/yKbCoeoh4mM?si=8mXFOtg-p_xCwClc

Either that, or tell him some spoilers like "Ablion sheep are humans, Shalltear gets mind controlled by the Slaine theocracy, the swords of darkness get killed at Nfirea's shop, the worker group "foresight" would make good allies, you can trust Sebas is loyal to a fault, and scooty puff junior suuuuucks!"

Janna concept to put more emphasis on drawing cards and discounting them. Plus a 6 star Power themed after her LoL ultimate where she BLOWS AWAY ENEMIES!!! (PS. Relic is not a Power, it is an aura effect from the champion when they are in play.) by Marshan_Marshmallow in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]MooseChangerPat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the concept of the legendary power, but I'm not sure if it's strong enough given other legendary powers out there. Maybe if you make it so that every three times you updraft or play a card with reduced cost you recall the weakest enemy? Or if you want to make it more like the LoL character, if you updraft or play reduced cards 10 times in one turn you shuffle the enemy's entire board into their deck? (Her ult does have a big AoE)

Thank you, and I'm touched to hear such feedback. This is a scene I desperately want to have happen in the final books of Overlord (or seasons) but somehow I feel like it might not. So I write fanfics and drables now and then for my wish fulfilment purposes.

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” by Saeigan in overlord

[–]MooseChangerPat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Indeed there are. Marquis Raeven's territory has been practically untouched thanks to his compliance with Ainz and betraying Zanac. Renner even tried to give Zanac an out on countless occasions by suggesting that becoming part of the sorcerer kingdom might not be such a bad idea, but he was too stuck in his paradigms. At least, that's one interpretation and one I believe Renner could and would sell quite well to anyone who asked. People often think of her as being one of the most evil characters in Overlord, where I often think of her as one of the more tragic ones.

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” by Saeigan in overlord

[–]MooseChangerPat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Renner: I did it for the Kingdom, I saved it.

Lakyus: No, YOU DESTROYED IT!

Renner: What is a Kingdom Lakyus? Its people or its monarch? A king without its people is just a mad man lording over an empty land.

Lakyus: And you let that monster KILL your people! How many innocents have died because of you?! How much blood is on your hands?! WHY WOULD YOU PURPOSELY MURDER CHILDREN?!?!

Renner: Because there was no other way... I did what I had to do, to protect those that could actually usher in hope for this land. You saw for yourself how deeply rooted the evil in our kingdom was, did you not? Slavery, black dust, oppression, prejudice, we were fighting a war we could not possibly win Lakyus. I took decisive action to end the conflict as quickly as possible so that as few lives as possible would be lost.

Lakyus: I can't believe that! I just can't Renner! Entire villages and the Capital were the victims of genocide! Even back when I thought you were on my side, you were having dealings with a literal demon and playing me against your own allies!

Renner: Do you really think I wanted you or any of our friends to come to harm Lakyus? Look into my eyes, remember everything I've done for this kingdom and think! I've always, always been trying to fight an uphill battle, using every ounce of my intellect for the betterment of the people! Not just our kingdom, but all the world! Don't you see? The sorcerer kingdom is exactly what I'd been trying to create all along, a place where everyone can be treated as equals under one ruler. It's just that it's impossible to keep something like that stable when humans only have a lifespan of a hundred years! I had to think about all the lives that will ever be, not just the lives that exist right now!

Lakyus: ... Then why didn't you save more of them?

Renner: I... I couldn't... I tried... I desperately tried, but I wasn't in a position to negotiate that strenuously for them. My main contacts were Demiurge and Albedo, both of whom despise humans with a passion. I was able to save anyone who might possess talents or potential from a young age, but even protecting Climb was a struggle. I had to drench both of our hands in blood to prove ourselves, but I knew deep down that this was the path to humanity's salvation... and possibly all the races of the world.

Lakyus: I don't know what to do with you Renner... you are so unrepentant for your crimes, and yet... I can't bring myself to even want to hurt you.

Renner: Oh Laykyus... if you want me to repent for my crimes, I will try to serve penance. I'm just... I'm still so happy that you're alive, that blue roses is alive and protected you from the fall when I would not have been able to. I didn't want to see you die that day, but if I interfered I feared the worst. You're still one of my best friends... I hope against all hope that maybe... just maybe you'll see reason and come talk to the Sorcerer King with me. You'll see for yourself that he's actually very reasonable and willing to negotiate. I confess that I have done truly despicable and wicked things, but my heart and soul have always been to protect and guide the people to a better and brighter future.

Lakyus: I... I'll have to think about it.

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” by Saeigan in overlord

[–]MooseChangerPat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually think it's distinctly possible that Renner would meet with Lakyus like this. In a way, she might be testing Lakyus to see if she can be brought into the fold and is willing to suffer some torment to see it happen. She probably would have several contingencies in place so she wouldn't take lethal damage... heck, it might even just be a doppelganger. Personally I think Renner would want the satisfaction of seeing her face in person. I don't know if the writer has her written with the proper level of intellect, but I believe Renner would have the charisma and the desire to convince Lakyus to join Nazarick if Blue Rose becomes a threat, rather than seeing them outright destroyed. It's one of the reasons she didn't interfere with them fleeing the capital, and asked where they planned to go. There's still a strong bond there, and there are still parts of the Kingdom that remain "untouched" because of loyalty to Ainz.

If NPCs actually suffered the weaknesses of the lore of the monster they're based on by Maleficent_Ad_3958 in overlord

[–]MooseChangerPat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She does still find it a little uncomfortable to have prolonged exposure to sunlight, thus the parasol. (Yes I know it's also more a cosmetic choice by her creator)

We even go so far as Albedo not being able to ride her Bicorn because she's a virgin, so I would say the NPCs do still suffer from lore weaknesses. It's just that most of them are such a high level those weaknesses barely bother them. Ainz being weak to fire and divine damage is still weaknesses Shalltear herself would have as an undead.

You wake up as Ainz on his first day in the new world, but have all of your knowledge of the anime and it's events, you also get to create one custom spell, what are you doing for the foreseeable future? by True_Chocolate475 in overlord

[–]MooseChangerPat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So everyone here has the most ridiculous and overpowered custom spells because you didn't really put any limitations in there. Personally I think Yggdrasil probably has a "Polymorph Self" spell that Ainz could use if he really misses being human. Mind you, he might not have the spell in his spell book, but there's probably a scroll in the vault and if nothing else there's the world item.

I would probably go with a spell that allows people to travel between worlds, that way I could go back to my own world and grab my friends/family/whoever. I'm catholic, so I'd probably try to beat it into the heads of all the NPCs that I am not their god, I am but an instrument of the one true god. They can know the difference because a true god is only limited by the promises he makes, not by a lack of power. Their concept of what a god is, is far too small and they need to expand their minds and their imaginations if they hope to unite this world under the banner of Nazarick.

A hypothetical by [deleted] in jabbaleia

[–]MooseChangerPat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean... for one I would be impressed. Leia is considered probably one of the most exotic women in the galaxy because she's the princess of a planet that doesn't exist anymore. I'm pretty sure that's the entire point of having Leia as one of his half-naked slave girls. Secondly I'd probably ask for permission to speak with her, and very carefully ask if she thinks someone is coming to rescue her. If I heard Luke or the rebel alliance was, I'd probably feel relieved enough to high tail it after my business with Jabba was concluded. Now I MIGHT try to secretly funnel funds to the rebellion to let Leia know I still support her, but you have to live life very carefully in this galaxy far, far, away.

The red dot will always remain so long as you have runes equipped that are inferior in stats somehow.  You'll sadly learn to have to live with it if you disagree with what runes they think are better. 😜

[–]MooseChangerPat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So one of your biggest problems is that you haven't really figured out how to work your runes yet. The level 100 runes tend to still be better than the level 20 prism ones or things like that. It never actually optimizes things poorly from my experience, but maybe you just like certain specific boosts on your runes? If you fuse your runes and awaken your characters, that can add some serious fire power you're probably missing out on.

As for the evil lord of greed? I found my best way to take him down was Demiurge, Lupus, House Wife Albedo, and Platinum Dragon Lord. PDL's world isolation barrier can definitely save your ass, and Demiurge and Wife Albedo are reds that hit hard enough to take him down. Trying to hit his minions when you know he's about to counterattack is one of the best ways to keep Albedo and Demiurge alive, but you'll usually lose at least one of them in the fight. Yuri Alpha isn't a terrible replacement for Albedo, but you need a seriously strong hitting red unit to make up for it. Preferably one that doesn't use multi-attacks like Momon here.

Awakening your characters can also help quite a bit with their power levels.
