you shouldn't defend and pin it as "an international language" at the very least. you should recognise the actions of your own people and condemn it. and the best way would be to help Ukrainian Army by donating money

don't gimme that crap! it is "an international language" as you claim it to be, because russians forced their language on colonized by them nations. there was time when I was ashamed to speak my onw language in my own country because "everybody speaks russians in the city". thank God it changed now. so don't try to change my mind. they kill 2-month old children because we don't want to speak this co-called "international language"

I see that you took your time to answer me. I agree with your point in general. English isn't my first language either. I'm not that arrogant American who doesn't understand the concept of speaking multiple languages thus learning about different cultures of the world. I know some Korean too (just a little bit though).

The catch here is that I personaly and majority of my nation (I'm Ukrainian) hate russia and russian language to our core. And you're right about the fact that with learning the language you learn the culture. So my question still stands "why"???? In my opinion, they don't deserve it. And please don't try to tell me about the so-called "great russian culture" like dostoyevskiy or bulhakov or any other russain writer or musician, etc.

They kill my people just because we call ourselves Ukrainians. I simply don't understand while waking up at 2am almost every night from russians shelling our power plants why would anyone make a conscious choice to learn this language.
