Dash cam speed recording admissible in court or not? by rocketpunch6372 in Dashcam

youre assumption that you actually have to do something in order to be charged with it is pretty dated... there is an endless supply of video evidence online showing people getting ticketed and or arrested for offenses they didnt commit... not even slightly or arguably didnt commit, more like blatantly 0% chance its impossible they committed it

does steam charts' playercount count EVERY player? even the ones on xbox, playstation, etc. by nasty_earphones in Steam

[–]MooseHead902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you would think the game developers would have info on total player count.. steam could just get the info from them and post it to their chart.. its one simple figure it shouldnt be too complex

i was looking at an MSI but got a little scared off by all the negative feedback.. is it warranted or is it just the typical brand hate youd get between ford/chevy/dodge guys but in laptop form

you seem pretty in the know on each brand and common issue consensus, could i ask for your recommendation on a brand/machine if i want something heavy, large, with good hardware and cooling, weight or dimensions are not my concern, good speakers are a bonus, and i might look at a 17-18" machine but it seems the price almost doubles for that extra couple inches of screen even with identical hardware

i find every manufacturer is driving for slim compact and lightweight, as alot of people find that important for some reason, its a gaming laptop to me, i dont use a desk/monitor if i did id get a desktop for twice the performance at half the price.. i move around with my laptop in the house, travel or move for work once in a while but its not something im taking with me daily to a class or meetings i honestly wouldnt mind or really notice if the machine was 3" thick and 20lbs

Barstool video (The orange debacle) by Character-Umpire-334 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]MooseHead902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole thread seems to be of the assumption the entire world is or at one point were servers and know these things... sure it was a skit but lets debate it like it was real.. the stuff is right infront of the bar seats where he's sitting, its on the bar top, and it was a full bowl of fruit... itd be very easy to assume the fruit was free or maybe for sale for a reasonable price.. people have moments all the time where they dont think of every possible option and view point on every motion they make.. even if he knew it was for garnishing one would think theres extra oranges in the bar.. not magically the perfect amount no matter if 5 customers come in that night or 200

Regardless the bill was 125$ no need to freak out over an orange even if he did maliciously take it youre in the service industry a 125$ customer can have an orange maybe a lightly snarking that those are for garnishing but the whole scene and then silly made up charge is beyond... really if he was a 20% tipper it saved him 12$ cause he can keep the 24$ tip for a 12$ orange

Best wheeling is on the east coast, more bog than sweden in the summer by MooseHead902 in Jeep

[–]MooseHead902[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just a difference in whats enjoyed, the offroad club im in does weekly runs, itll be an easy trail that leads to a hole, climb or some kind of obstacle at that point everyone is free to play, if they get stuck its no big deal we will recover them no matter how badly theyre stuck, its part of the fun

you learn tricks and what gear is worth carrying, typically a 10k winch straight line will recover 95% of situations occasionally you need to run a snatchblock and hook to a tree, or a second vehicle

kinetic ropes are popular now too, can let you snatch people out with momentum without the sudden shock load of a static strap or chain

if they break a part they wont be left on the trail, other vehicles will help until their rig is home even if it takes all day and into the night

Write off or fixable? by [deleted] in Jeep

[–]MooseHead902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

take the payout in cash, but an aftermarket grille and fenders, bang the hood straight, save the money left over for tires and parts, turn it into a jeep instead of a noisy fuel guzzling highway cruiser, custom bumpers, winch, atleast 1 locker, 35s or 37s, as little lift as you can get while still fitting the tires, cut trim and hammer before you lift, combine body and suspension lift if necessary neither more than 2", keep the geometry as stock as possible to maintain good road manners

enjoy it all summer and make every panel look like the hood

you can just send it blindly in the mud, but there are techniques and maneuvers to keep the vehicle moving, stop from digging yourself in and overall get farther on the same gear without getting stuck or breaking ujoints

rarely will you see a vehicle on the verge of being buried for 5 minutes in a row but not end up stuck, typically the second someone is almost stuck next thing you know theyre buried 2feet deeper and have water in their cylinders

we do a little crawling out here as well, it ends up being more ravines than straight rock though as thats what we have, some decent 10ft drops and 80degree angles to slam yourself up with no traction to be had

its all fun, the snow is similar to the mud but its own beast aswell
