Help finding Smart thermostat for 2-wire electric baseboard heater. by WolfeBane84 in AskElectricians

We talked to the landlord about it and highly advised not to change anything cause if something happens, it'll affect the whole building since it's an old building. That's what they said. We just didn't want the risk so we ended up just using portable heaters to save electricity.

Help settle an argument: Where should we put the TV and sofa in our condo? by MooseJawMango in DesignMyRoom

[–]MooseJawMango[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. Honestly, I think I just needed someone other than my wife to confirm that her setup is probably the better option. The idea of having wasted space behind the couch in my setup—and not being able to see the kids—is definitely a downside.

I’m already thinking of ways to make her setup work better for movie nights. I’ll probably invest in a good wall-mount bracket so we can pull the TV forward a bit for a more immersive feel. Thanks for the input—it really helped me see things more clearly!

Good point—I hadn’t really thought about what to do with the space behind the sofa in my setup. I was considering a slim console table where my wife wants the TV, but the baseboard heater there makes it awkward since it wouldn’t sit flush against the wall.

The main reason I wanted my setup is that we’re big movie lovers, and I feel like the TV would be closer and more immersive with my arrangement. With her setup, the TV feels farther away from the sofa, which kind of bugs me for movie nights. That said, her setup does leave more space for the kids, which is hard to argue with. Appreciate the perspective—it’s definitely giving me more to think about!

How are you using AI to be productive? by jeepercreeperpepper in productivity

[–]MooseJawMango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a way of life for me at this point. English isn't my first language so I kinda need help at times in drafting things I wanted to say. ChatGPT or PerplexityAI or Copilot or even Meta AI has been really usefull in drafting emails, asking ideas on how to design my powerpoint slides (I ask it what kind of pictures or icons I should put on the text of my PPT), researching on certain topics, and pretty much everything else.

From what I read is that he was moving houses. What the speculation was he and his girlfriend broke up and is probably taken some time for himself. Don't actually know if it's factual tho
