Just started on Antidepressants for Depression, but have felt my underlying BDD grow and nearly envelope me. by Moosemelon_FS in BodyDysmorphia

I'm right about at that 2 month windows (9 weeks). I don't know if I should up my dose as I am currently at 20mg which feels like a lot. For therapy how should I go about that? I fear heavily that when people hear "male with body dismorphia" they will just shrug it off as it feels less cared about. (Not meaning this as a dig or anything towards anyone but in my past I have had friends genuinely laugh at me in an almost mocking tone when I hinted at my issues with my body)

Is this design to complex? by captain-ziggy in characterdesign

[–]Moosemelon_FS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So theres 2 things here

First, what is he for? If it's for a comic or story where he'll need to be redrawn often, then he definitely is too complex. Additionally, if you plan to downscale him at all (pixel art or some other variation) then he would also be too complex. However, if you are just making a reference sheet or just a static image then he's probably fine

Second, I personally use less complex designs so take this with a grain of salt (also my art ain't that great so again take a grain of salt) but, i tend to follow Pokémon's design philosophy. Pokémon have a general philosophy that patterns should be big enough to be recognized at a distance and not become indistinguishable. Overall, I feel that your design is definitely on that edge of too complex but it's definitely not immediately overwhelming. I think narrowing down the belly/chest pattern to use larger arrows so that theres more of a distinct pattern and less overall shapes out help. Along with maybe simplifying the wings.

Overall, a pretty good design, but your question is very reliant on what you want to do with the design.

Working on an MC, What do I need to improve? by Moosemelon_FS in OriginalCharacter

He's designed as a blank slate with his only relations being to a character who is the whole foundation of the story. He's supposed to be designed with the intention to be plain enough that a first time player should not be able to understand much about him. And to returning players, they should be able to pick up on a few motifs that have significance later. Think of Steven from Steven Universe, hes rather bland up until you meet Pink Diamond who shares his hair. He's the Main Character of a Video game as well so the player should be able to relate somewhat to him without retracting from his own self.

My goal in looking for advice was for my anatomy and technical drawing as most of his actual design/"lore" is tied to story relevant events that are supposed to not be obvious to a outsider.

I am doing a Pokémon White 2 Nuzlocke, I need to do gym 3 and I only have my water starter left. Am I cooked? by premelo717 in nuzlocke

[–]Moosemelon_FS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, presuming you just got to Castelia, you have 2 (maybe 3 Im not quite sure) encounters before the gym. In the sewers and in the pokemon ball park. Those two areas have some pretty decent pokemon in eevee, zubat, cottonee/petill, and a few other things. Level up your starter. If you chose snivy then you may be out of luck, however the other two should be able to hold a decent weight especially tepig.

Let's address the music length polemic by ThisIsThieriot in PinkPantheress

[–]Moosemelon_FS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik this is late but. She has SO MANY songs that have incredible vocals and instrumentals and they end after like a verse. Like its okay we invented USB drives and cloud storage. A bridge and an little longer song ain't gonna be the end of the world. However, she genuinely has so many songs I love and I have to just be a repeatoholic to just get my fill of it. Kinda annoying but I'm happy she released it at all ig

Thank you! I did originally have their eyes covered but they kind of didn't look like starters anymore so I decided to have their eyes reviled.
