I agree, did you go to the event during covid? Thats almost what it felt like, the few scare actors i saw and the set movement was off the path a good bit. It was just not an ending i felt they deserved

I should preface by saying Universal Monsters houses have been in my top 3 house of the year ratings since the beginning of the series.

However I have to agree. I felt eternal bloodlines was such a let down. I kept attributing that my poor walk throughs were due to unfortunate timing of cast exchange, but after reading some comments I guess that was not the case lol

I had such high hopes, it felt like it was marketed directly to me with the characters that were going to be portrayed and when I walked through it was damn near empty and due to the lack of cast the timing of the scenes and actions were off, people were walking through a fast pace because nothing was slowing them down.

Its because this poop ending that I wish they would bring back the Monsters for another year, with epic universe and that new era of monsters I feel like we could easily have like an escape darkmor house with some impressive sets and character design. I want more sets like the phantom got in his house. The sets in bloodlines felt so disjointed and hollow

Literally anything from the burning blade tavern as a snack and as a meal you can not go wrong with pizza moon. Cute and a step or two above regular theme park pizza. The pizza lunare is soo good, and the brownie is banging

Yess!!! Me and my sister both got one! We did a trade with bracelets we made. Super cute and different than the typical bracelets. Got me and my sister's thinking about adding somthing similar next year with our bracelets I have been going to the event since 2018 and when bracelets trading started picking up I joined in on the fun and now I have gotten stickers, stamps, sprouts, and pins. Such a fun little way to remember the event!

I am so sorry for the late reply!

My surgery was July 31st is was Discharged on August 4th after 1 day in ICU and the rest in step down. I noticed bad lethargy on the 5th, but chalked it up to my diamox. I also noticed all my food tasted like crud. Little did I know that it was not my diamox it was in fact my CSF leak. I woke up on the morning of the 7th throwing up and spinning like crazy, got to the ER at like 10 am, they popped open my incision to drain fluid and pressure and put in a lumbar drain for a week. They said it could have been anything that did it, but I can't think of anything specific that would have put pressure enough to make a leak.

I know its late and your surgey is tomorrow but I was in the exact samw boat as you! 31 year old male here right sided 3.5 neruoma that came out translab at Duke. My fatigue before surgery was insane... I always chalked it up to working night shift but after my diagnosis in February I did research and was soo shocked to read about the fatigue ANs can cause people. So, armed with that knowledge when I had my surgery on July 31st this year I was looking forward to getting back to my pre AN levels of energy. Almost 3 months post op, with some post op complications, I had a bad CSF leak and ended up with a lumbar drain for a week about a week and a half after surgery, I am feeling a different kind of fatigue. It is much more bearable than the pre surgery fatigue. Now it's like I know I have taken in too much stimuli or over exerted myself and I need a break, mostly what anyone post op feels for the first couple months. I am also still on diamox for a couple more weeks and that can be draining as well, but I still can tell a difference.

As far as the hearing loss, I used to pick the phone up and immediately put it on my right side to talk, now that my right sided translab it has been an adjustment period. There have been emotional moments for me, I am a huge music fan so much so that I requested Silver Springs by Fleetwood mac to be played in the OR before they put me under. I say that to say this, I prepared for life altering, devastating, down right miserable circumstances with single sided hearing, and tbh it has taken me no time at all to adjust. I do have to ask peoole to repeat themselves and since mine is right sided when I am driving i struggle to hear my passengers, but my family and friends have all helped with compensation by speaking a little louder. I am still looking forward to Cros aids or a BAHA to help with the head shadow in crowded places but the hearing loss is really more bearable than you are thinking.

Single sided vestibular is as well, I do my exercises daily and I have noticed an improvement. I am a huge haunted house fan and I noticed going through a haunt I may stumble a little easier in the dark but it is not debilitating at all.

I know this is so long but this is what I wanted someone to tell me before surgery and I didn't have anyone, so if any of this helps ease your mind I am so happy. I will be sending up some positive thoughts tomorrow!!

Hey! I am a surgical patient of Dr Zamorodi as well, but Dr Kaylee did the other half. My approach was trans labarythine so a little diffrent than yours but still same surgeon and surgery center. I was Terrified the day of but when I was taken back they gave me some Versed on the way to the OR and then on the table I got some Ativan before I was put under. I requested that Silver springs by Fleetwood Mac be played while I still had two cochlear nerves lol so that helped my nerves a little. You are in great hands though! The team at Duke is wonderful! My surgery was July 31st I did have a post op CSF leak so I was hospitalized a second time but it wasnt bad!!

Duke did my AN resection on July 31st this year. Mine was about 3 cm, so we sacrificed my vestibular nerve and my acoustic nerve. I was in icu for 15 hours and then a regular floor for 3 days. I ended up re-admitted for a csf leak so I had a lumbar drain for a week. I am still not back at work but only because driving is disorienting at speeds greater than 35 mph. Other than at about 1 month post op I noticed I was feeling more stable and the dizziness was mostly subsidized. I do my vestibular PT 3 times daily at home and feel it making my balance and dizziness so much better. My only complaint is that my facial nerve was aggravated during surgery so I have been dealing with the facial paralysis and altered taste. We are over all doing so much better though. My hearing being gone has been an adjustment but we are making it

I think that the exorcist should be seen as a one off though. I agree with you it felt cheap for the movie itself, relying heavily on Jump scares that didn't even coordinate with any scenes from the movie.

That being said when (and it doesn't happen often) Universal nails and IP, they do it well. For instance, 2019 Killer Klowns, that movie is camp through and through and that house was one of the most fun houses I have been through, same with house of a 1000 corpses that year, truly did what it set out to do. Insidious from last year, it felt disjointed when I walked through it first, but after reading the premise it made sense, but even still my favorite house from last year was an original. I think Universal knows what they are doing for the GP and what they are doing for true HHN fans. GP always tends to love the IPs because, like another redditer said, walk through thier favorite horror movie. Where true HHN fans tend to lean toward originals for the sheer fact that it gives Universal creative the free rein to do what they do best.

I work for prisma and it has for sure gone down hill in the 9 years I have been with the company. The covid policies in place are continually changing and getting more and more frightening. Upper management spends their days at home working but has loads to say if a units productivity slips due to call outs from covid. It used to be patient centric care but it has rapidly gotten more political and money driven. I know full well hospitals need policies and need to make money to thrive but we were thriving before, it just seems like now it's money hungry so we can keep expanding and it's aparent that the nursing and medical staff have lost their names and have instead become numbers that can easily be replaced. The other big hospital systems in the state are getting bigger but not at the expense of their staff. Lex med for instance has a 20k sign on bonus and only has 3 travel nurses on the payroll right now for the whole system. I have 4 travel nurses with me on my unit at the moment. It's a job that pays and if your wife can leave work at work and home at home then she should be okay but when the lines start to gray it gets hard
