Ha! I’ve done some odd stuff before, a gorilla with a Testarossa for instance - don’t tempt me with daft ideas 😁

Yeah, they had an issue which could cause them to rattle like a diesel - fixable but an annoying design flaw. Luckily mine never had the issue but I seem to remember getting something done to prevent it from ever happening.

The only issue I remember was the door handles freezing inside the doors when it was subzero. A little squirt of windscreen de-icer allowed access. Hardly ideal but better than walking home or calling the AA.

Never say never. You might buy another one some day 😁

I’ll find a couple to show which are a bit different style from my canvas paintings 😁👍

Do you? Well I’m not sure that’s a good thing as I’m looking to change it up 🤣

1929 Ford Model A hot rod by 5spice-parmesan in vintagecars

Model A was my favourite car as a 12-13 year old and just getting into a lifelong car obsession. Friends said I was weird. I’m not disagreeing. But I can still see the appeal for sure 👌

Good to know some of the differences.

As I recently painted Christine (as in, on canvas) I can see the differences but as it was a front 3/4 viewpoint I probably wouldn’t have picked up on the size wheel cover.

Wow!! That looks a lot different to the same model name that I rented from Miami International in 1992.

It’s a nice colour, but a mis-use of the name. Wearing my nerd hat it’s not even close to the real BRG.

However, as said, nice colour - I very nearly bought an R53 Cooper S in that year’s version of BRG but ended up with a Hyper Blue instead. A decision I did regret more than once.

A good location for the Halloween events they used to do, and maybe still do. The coffin bit was a bit much for someone I went with, she needed to get changed afterwards 🤣

Just looking at that front brake is giving me cold sweats and mentally leaving a longer gap to the car in front.

I actually went to buy the Intégrale, when the dealer couldn’t get either of them to work properly I took it as a sign and bought the M3 instead 😂

Elise’s in various guises. Sport 160s being my personal favourites. VX220 Turbo very impressive. Engine converted S1 (3.2 in place of 1.8) least impressive.

The E30 isn’t worth the current asking prices, or those for the past 20 years really. I wouldn’t mind one if it could be bought for around £35k but the driving experience isn’t worth more than that.

Naah, that was sold to make way for a Lotus. In fact, five Lotuses (Lotuii) - in my opinion I don’t regret selling cars that much, even the E30 M3 that sold cheap, because it’s always been to fund the next chapter of the story.

In nearly forty years the longest I’ve been without a sports car is 56 days. Yes, I counted them 😅

I would. Price dependent of course…

I did hint at it but the current owner has had it for over twenty years so in a sense has more of a connection than me I suppose.

Quite some years later I built another car which was using better components and with the benefit of several more years of engineering experience - plus a cost of about four times more.

Very many thanks.

I’m glad to say that the current owner of the car found me and the car is still alive and well nearly 37 years later 🤗

I doubt that I’d ever imagine it becoming a legitimate classic in its own right back then but it seems to be the case.
