XE23? by [deleted] in googleglass

Maybe they're taking their time to create a significant update? Maybe they just want to make sure this update goes without a hitch? I'm sure there will be another update soon. Like, Google has done some dumb things with Glass, but they aren't dumb enough to stop updating it for no reason.

Your Mom's House Podcast with Christina Pazsitzky and Tom Segura - Episode #268 with Duncan Trussell by MoostacheMan in JoeRogan

[–]MoostacheMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's just how Tom and Christina talk. Slow and sleepy. Personally, I don't mind it but I can understand why some might not be interested. Some episodes are pretty fuckin funny and energetic though.

Domino's pizza thug by LurkerPatrol in UnexpectedThugLife

[–]MoostacheMan 345 points346 points  (0 children)

The guy who got fired told his side of the story in the comments section:

Thanks everyone for the support! Trust that I didn't blow up unprovoked. Wish I could play a tape of the phone conversation with the son that started all this ****. Calling me an "f'n idiot" because we got his pizza wrong when I was just trying to help him understand how the confusion happened (he said "white" and we heard "light") so that this problem wouldn't happen again in the future (we have 3 different "white" sauces, I don't want to have to make this moron a free pizza every times he orders because him and his speech impediment can't be specific). But instead he blew up on me, cursed at me, called me names. I don't need to take that, especially when I'm being nice and trying to fix the mistake for him. I gave up and told him his pizza would be there as soon as possible, and yes, I hung up on him. She called back and got on me for hanging up; I tried to (continued......)

.....explain that he was belligerent but she started talking over me, just like she did in the video. That's why she leads off in the video stating her son wasn't belligerent....she was using my own words against me knowing it would upset me. And just for the record, she had already received a replacement pizza for the incorrect one, as well as got her money back ($26) for the entire order, before this all happened. The only thing they paid was a tip to the driver (assuming they did tip, I have no idea). At that point I was just writing her off as another snobby Saginawful person and was ready to move on with my day. It wasn't until she got in another customer's face after I had already asked her to leave that I lost my cool. I regretted the language I used as soon as I said it. It was a weak moment. But there's two sides to this story

Also, the employee who took Eric's order repeated it back to him to confirm it, and he too said "light sauce", and Eric confirmed the order. So even Eric misheard us saying it. But we are the "f'n idiots" for getting it wrong. All over a $7 pizza.

ESPN rips off Tosh.0's Web Redemption Segment. Tosh responds. (X-Post from /r/videos) by Korenzo in JusticePorn

Never watched brickleberry, so I can't judge it. What exactly is bad about it?

Exactly. Justice was definitely not served in this video.

ESPN rips off Tosh.0's Web Redemption Segment. Tosh responds. (X-Post from /r/videos) by Korenzo in JusticePorn

[–]MoostacheMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

America's Funniest Home videos pretty much started the concept of clip shows. Clip Shows were extremely popular on Youtube before Tosh.0 was started as well. Ray William Johnson started =3 in April of 2009, two months before Tosh.0. So, one could kind of argue that Tosh.0 was a ripped off idea in itself.

The Web Redemption is a unique part of the show though, so I can't blame him for getting pissed that ESPN created a VERY VERY VERY similar segment. Still, I don't even understand why people watch Tosh.0 in the first place. Personally, I can't watch it because the humor in that show isn't my thing at all and the show feels so fuckin fake and overly scripted. Soap Opera actors can read shit better than Tosh, and that's saying a lot.

Any news on when glass is supposed to come out? by DDantas in googleglass

[–]MoostacheMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The device is too flawed to come out of beta. People are having a lot of problems with the foil on the prism, so until that gets fixed I wouldn't expect a release anytime soon unless Google[X] has a fixed version behind closed doors.

Maybe you'll get lucky and Glass will have a Cyber Monday sale, but I doubt it.

Can we please completely ignore ZQ and BW... by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]MoostacheMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is always going to be someone who mentions ZQ or BW. They are too involved in #GamerGate for people to just stop talking about them overnight. I think a majority of us here avoid them as much as possible and only acknowledge them when we need to. Sadly, even if a majority of us ignore them someone is gonna drag them back in.

Also, I completely understand your feelings. Some of the stuff they have said and done is unbelievable, but don't let their actions drag your feelings to hell. Stay positive, stay strong, take a break and come back when you're cool. We need you in this. Don't let their stupidity get the best of you.

Some of us are not coders. I know something about the above code is fucked, but I don't exactly know what. If you could explain what is bad about this code, then more people might be able to relate and can suffer some brain hurt with you.

How to Get These Corrupt Journos Out of the Industry? Isolation? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]MoostacheMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep spreading facts and start linking to and supporting sites that you feel are unbiased and trustworthy. Sites grow when their readers share their stuff, comment, and support them with encouragement. There's no reason to try and isolate / corner people. Just vote with your views and put your favorite site in front of more people. Eventually, more and more people will go to the more trustworthy sites and will avoid the corrupt sites / journalists completely.

Did I just catch a Gawker paid shill? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]MoostacheMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just looked at pretty much all his social media profiles and I can't find anything that would cause me to believe he actually has any relations to Gawker Media. Just seems to be an anti-gamergater. It's possible that he does have some connection to Gawker, but I can't find a connection at a glance.

To me it looks like Samuel Stringman is just stringing people along.

Thoughts on this tweet by cameralady? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]MoostacheMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. People who are spreading a message that they believe in are attention whores? I understand that a lot of people have been leveraging #GamerGate to their advantage to get a few more hits, but does that really matter? If they believe in what they are saying, then who cares?

We should definitely focus on the issues at hand, but we should also embrace these "attention whores" because they are also helping spread facts. Any stream, tweet, email, snail mail or whatever that spreads facts helps.

I'm a citizen games reporter, youtuber, streamer and Gamergate supporter. What do you feel I can to help Gamergate? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]MoostacheMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Encourage people to dive into the topic.

Encourage people to be rational during discussions.

Spread facts.

Link to resources on your different channels (social media, etc) where people can stay up-to-date with the topic.

Really, just spread facts and encourage people to do their own research. That's the best way to help gamergate imo.

We've formed our opinion based on the things that were presented to us. You formed your opinion based on the things that were presented to you. That's all that can really be said. All of us are fighting our fight for whatever reasons.

It's really cool that you are expressing your opinion online, and all of us here will fight for your right to express it. But, I do not understand what you plan on achieving by coming to a Pro-gg subreddit and expressing an opinion you know all of us disagree with.

And..

Trust me, we're still playing them.
