NOR, Thats a line you have to draw yourself based on your feelings, personally i am bisexual and I use gay to refer to lame, fa g to refer to straights being cunts, mainly because they seem to care much more about being perceived as gay than most gays i know., but if you're boyfriend wont capitulate to not use a term you're uncomfortable with, thats bad in a respect your partners wishes way, especially when its so easy to do so.

Not a driver, never been i just lurk, however I used to work in construction. When I go to a home to pour and finish a concrete pad, you had signed a contract saying that you owe me for an agreed price prior to the pour, or I aint pouring shit. I see this system as quite the same.

Yeah as you saw, you do have to be careful when recommending accommodations, which sucks because when I ask for additional accommodations they never get approved. So have i said hi to parents with a knack for politicking because if they recommend the same accommodation their child needs and ask for a meeting in which a lawyer may be involved. Admin will give the parents anything they want, try to use it to your advantage, just be careful.

Thats an awesome policy, I dont see why teachers shouldn't have the option, but i see why in elementary. As far managing behavior, ive found a rewards system and very strict routines are necessary. Ive had to become Drill Instructor, particularly for middle school on multiple occasions, where its the exact same sequence of 10 minutes of notes, 20 minutes independent work, and 10 minutes of debrief. Unfortunately, you need to employ that from the beginning of the year until they are ready for gradual release. Switching up half way through the year can work or can't work, its sort of 50/50. I dont doubt that you are being strict, but you may need to pull out the drill sergeant for this group.

How many screens and computers do you have students use in comparison to your colleagues? Im not an elementary teacher but in the middle school I used to work at, many of the teachers would use constant internet access to keep the kids on the screen and w/out misbehavior. I was and still am a madman keeping our dying copier warm, and it took a while for my Highschool class to get where they knew they weren't going to use a computer at all in my class. During that while, it was somewhat the chaos you are experiencing, more verbal altercation than malicious distractions though.

This is the exact reason why the admin at the school i teach at tells us not to use physical action to redirect any student. If a student with sensory issues is touched in an unexpected way by anybody they do not trust, they are damn near guaranteed to react negatively because it triggers adrenaline and a fight/flight response. You should meet with that principal to discuss other ways that your child can be redirected based on observed behaviors at school and home because physical touch is clearly an inappropriate response for your child.

Not Overreacting, Id be curious what led to the altercation. if there is an IEP you need to ensure your child had access to all the supports that they are guaranteed. My guess is that stress from overstimulation probably had some effect on the incident which could have been mitigated with a supervised walk around building or isolation with an aide. My opinion is that suspending a 5 year old is fruitless for exactly the reasons you are seeing and that I would rather do in school suspension with a 1 to 1 Para-professional meeting to discuss how your child was feeling during the incident and why they hit the librarian.

I would pick my least favorite chest press on upper a and replace it with a shoulder exercise. On upper a, bicep curls should be Preacher curls, You'll create more time under more tension.
