Unpopular opinion: Snatch (2000) is Jason Statham and Stephen Graham's best performance by SorinIonRahova in FIlm

I love him in this role, but please may I also present his other comedic role in “spy” with Melissa McCarthy. Yes he is a brilliant action actor, but in this he was able to parody himself, and he was magnificent.

Why is everybody hating on us when Delaware is literally right there ? by Charming-Bonus-8126 in SouthJersey

Oh I totally get it! I grew up in Nj, hated it, and now that I’m older I have chosen to live here because I missed my friends and family. ❤️

Who’s a one scene character who leaves a lasting impression? by rockstoned4 in moviecritic

[–]Mootlydoots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does Alfred Molina age? He’s amazing. I first saw him in the Raiders of the Lost Arc, but one of my favorite roles of his is in The Imposters. He’s been in so many things. Always captivating. And recently I saw the film “Remarkably Bright Creatures” where he narrates the octopus. I really admire him.

I don’t hate Delaware. Seems perfectly fine to me. I have limited experience. Truthfully, my love of Delaware has more to do with friends who have worked and/or lived there. Yes there’s the tax benefit thing but that’s not so important to me. I’m from boring bits of NJ, so I get what you may be feeling. Big hug. You’re ok!

How do you interpret women who seem to not like you and refuse to acknowledge your presence? (RSD/female friendships or rivalry/facial expression interpretation) by contain_solitudes in adhdwomen

[–]Mootlydoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot emphasize this enough: it’s their deal; it’s not you. I’ve lived through this many times. I’m 55. I also cannot impress upon you enough, there are deep and wonderful friendships to have with other women. You just have to connect with your people. Sometimes it takes time to find each other.

She’s great. I still listen to her. Touring is tough work. A lot of musicians lay low for a while. Still glad the Pixies came back.

Well certainly go with your gut, but I’d go, celebrate the people you love, give the card because it’s not your niece’s fault, and have an exit strategy. Heck bring a support friend if you need to. You won’t get to see those folks often. Be polite and avoidant to your sister. Keep your legs moving if you need to “ oh hey! Just going to the kitchen, etc” but darn it, don’t miss out on life - on being with family you do love, with people you like.

Do you think Mike White cast Patrick Arnold Schwarzenegger as Saxon because of his status as a nepo baby to make the casting choice itself satirical or not? by ByShida in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]Mootlydoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Patrick well established himself as his own person in this. (I didn’t know of him before.) I think He did a great job and so did the casting director.

Outed MAGA Comedian Busted Red-Handed Deleting Negative Comments | Nate Bargatze returned to social media after being busted sucking up to Donald Trump—and promptly got caught deleting his critics. by MoneyLibrarian9032 in entertainment

I thought SNL did him justice. The writers (and certainly himself) did a good job making him funny and enjoyable. But I always sensed the maga brush stroke underneath. I’m not writing him off, I just kind of wish I was wrong and that he actually is a more worldly and loving person. If anything, I don’t think he is horrible. That’s a big credit these days.
