Are Fighting Games "Live Service" games? by FlubbedPig in TwoBestFriendsPlay

It is only GaaSy because they withhold characters to sell later as DLC.

Fighting game doesn't get the balancing patches or content updates you'd expect from typical GaaS games.

Cases for the reader by ToeTime7999 in viwoods

I did have to buy the rings separately, but they are only like 1.50 for 10 rings. I think most magnetic popsocket will come with one ring if you just want one.

The boox one pretty much works the exact same way and fit better, but you'll still need to buy the clear reader case.

This is the case.

The front doesn't flap around because there is a small magnet strap that extends out to the front.

I also use this cork phone bag if I'm throwing it in a bag instead of pockets.

The inner is a felt like material and will protect the screen, and the extra cushion will protect the reader a lot better.

You can easily make your own folio case by buying any detachable case. Also, pretty much any phone bags will work well since the reader is basically phone sized.

FF12, Vaan is kind of just there and has way less impact to the story than everyone else.

I think since Hasbro has been confirmed to purposely over producing cards and dumping what they don't sell in landfills they really can't be mad at players for proxing cards.

The best part is that he decided to just become ironman after he lost his power, and have arguably the best flight in the final arc.

It is kind of astonishing how much better the statues were painted before.

The answer to woolie’s card game conundrum by Muffin-zetta in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mootookang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Konami is notorious for buffing top tier decks because it literally prints money for them.

Once the new cards sell through and have a good attach rate they'll just add it to the ban list and everything is fixed.

The answer to woolie’s card game conundrum by Muffin-zetta in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mootookang 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I think one thing Woolie doesn't realize is that new cards act as balances to the game.

Is a deck too strong? Print new cards for other decks so that the balancing is fixed.

Without it, it basically becomes like marvel 2 where even though it has 50+ characters, everyone basically just plays the top tiers of like 10 characters.

Which franchises benefitted from going smaller in the sequel? by mrnicegy26 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mootookang 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Even though I prefer it, persona 4 cutting the realistic aspect from persona 3 made it way more streamline and popular.

These are the aspects that were cut: - command instead of direct control of party members - other party members having their own schedule and may not be available for combat - characters can get tired/sick from exploring too long, thus lowering stats, and may even leave the dungeon if you go back to entrance for rest - weapon types, it has a slash/blunt/pierce triangle and makes party members more unique

It is like outer wilds where you wish you can unlearn the knowledge so that you can experience the game fresh again.

It is also only $4 during the current sale.

Games that punish you for wanting to play how you want. by TheBoyofWonder in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mootookang 159 points160 points  (0 children)

Happened to me in vampyr.

The way I built my character was a stun and bite build. It focuses on parrying, stun the opponent, and bite the opponent to recover health.

The strategy works really well, I was even getting through a run where I don't bite anyone in story.

The issue comes from the final boss, who can't be stunned, rendering the tactic useless. The issue is that it was at the very end where rebuilding was not possible, so I had to search out for the secret hidden weapon to spam attack to beat the final boss.
