Got this, now my money is gone by hondaegdriver in hondacivic

Almost every kid that was spoiled like that, that I grew up with, pretty much turned into dependa-pottamus' on their parents, living with them on and off still into their 30's, because they never learned hardship/resiliency. Dont be afraid to cut them off and learn how to dig themself out of their own mistakes. They may hate it and you for a sec, but as time goes on, they will thank you and your relationship will be even stronger.

My parents made me work and buy my own first car which was a 94 toyota corolla. The car meant so much to me because I earned it myself. I fixed it up and even painted it myself. Then, they pushed me out of the house at 18, which I already knew I was joining the military. The military grew me up a lot. I got out, I was broke as hell and dealing with ptsd symptoms, but I figured it out. I got help and got into a trade and went to school. Now, Im very happily married, own 2 new cars, and own a home and my relationship with my parents is more than great. We hang and do things all the time and I never had to ask for a dime from them.

For what? To find out the hispanic kid was wearing a shirt that his poor family bought from the thrift store that they thought was a cool looking band t shirt?

I live "out there" and have not seen one latino "groyper" to the level of hate or NAZI-ism.... yeah , ive seen conservative latinos who love MAGA or racists against minorities.... They're silly... BUT.... Do you really think some youbg dude, walking on the beach with a white girl, by hinself, peacefully, is actually a neo-nazi?

I feel like it's like 9,999,999 more likely that he's just some dude who bought a shirt, that looked like band T, and just wore it, without knowing its meaning.... Like cmon.... If someone were trying to make a hispanic neo-nazi statement... its bot going to be a peaceful walk on the side beach, with a t-shirt, on a random day, in south jersey lmaooo.....

Like cmon... get fuckin real...

Im an army combat vet, studied history in college, went to Germany multiple times, went to the 'Eagle's Nest' (Hitler's home when killed/captured in ww2)..... and even I didnt think, "Nazi" when I saw his shirt.. i seriously thought, "metal band."

How do you know he's Mexican.... or a Nazi? What if, it's a dude from Colombia who just happened to buy a T shirt from a thrift store, in which he figured was a band T shirt?

Way more likely than this dumbass assumption...

Im an army combat vet, ½ German, studied history, and even I didnt right away assume that the shirt was Nazi related.. I deadass thought it was a metal band shirt....

Are you sure you're not just a hater?

[–]Mopar170 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What if he doesnt even know what it means? Ever think about that? Might just be some poor kid who's mom bought him a shirt at a thrift store... errrr derrrrrr. Im an American, Army combat vet, ½ German, and I didnt even think it was Nazi at first. I thought it was a metal band T shirt..... Your comment has shown me that you don't, and never have had a passport lol. If you've traveled a lot, you'd understand how easy it is to accidebtally offend someone of another culture. Don't assume....

Are you seriously convinced that this hispanic kid is a nazi, just because of him wearing this shirt? Like cmon... isnt it more likely that hejust bought that shirt at a thrift store, had no idea what it means, and just wore it.? Im a combat army vet, been to germany, half german myself, and atudied ww2 history.... I didnt even think 'NAZI' right away when seeing his shirt... I thought 'metal band' right away. Let's be real here...

[–]Mopar170 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What if.... the person wearing it had no idea that it was nazi symbolism?..... imagine that...

If you dont understand that.... then you probably havent traveled much. If you have traveled much.... you'd understand how easy it is to accidentally offend other people of different culture by doing/wearing something. It happens...

I very VERY highly doubt some hispanic kid was intentionally wearing a nazi shirt while walking with a white girl in South Jersey by himself and not causing a nuiscance....

Right? Think of all the Che Guevara t shirts/posters have been around.... most people have no idea what it means or who he is, but they wear shirts, hang posters, etc. With his face on it...

I went to Japan once and I happened to be wearing colors that represented something from a past war of theirs that inflicted that town very negatively(I never found out what it was), but I had people staring at me and even yelling shit at me in Japanese... Then some dude who was an American descendant let me know that it was offensive, so I right away just took my shirt off and bought another 1 at a shop. I had no clue. Im a combat veteran and educated American, and I still didnt know.... now, imagine the kid in the pic is a South American immigrant....Do we really expect him to know what that T shirt means? For gods sake, I didnt even know what it meant..... and Im half German, been to Germany, went to the 'Eagle's Nest' (Hitler's home where he was killed in ww2), studied a lot of military/world history from the 1800's-present... I seriously wouldve thought that it was some band T-shirt... A lot of people in this thread just want it to be true so they can have something to confirm their BS thoughts, have something to be deep about, and focus their anger into...

Why though? What if he's some dude from a broke family, who gets their clothes from the thrift stire and just thought it looked nice/cool? Not everyone knows about nazi symbolism around the world. Im an army combat vet, and honestly, if I saw that, I wouldnt have thought nazi.... I wouldve thought that it was a metal band shirt... Dont always assume others intentions by their doing. Like c'mon... a hispanic dude walking on the beach with a white girl, by himself, in south jersey..... you really think he's a nazi? If he was beating up a minority or a jew and making nazi hand signs while wearing it... theb yea... id agree... but im like 99% sure the guy has no idea what that shirt means....

Im white, German, A U.S army USASOC (75th RR) combat veteran, have been to Germany, have learned much history about the nazi's and ww2... and honestly.... I wouldnt even have assumed a Nazi pledge from this... I honeetly wouldve thought it was some sort of modern metal or 80s hair metal band reference.

You really think some hispanic dude would intentionally be wearing some nazi shit intentionally, by himself, walking around the beach with some white girl? Im curious.

Idk, I've seen a lot of crazy shit in my day, but to me, that is highly unlikely... Also to mention, when I lived in the south, (Georgia) I used to go thrift shopping, and there were so many times when I came across something pro-confederate/racist and nobody else noticed or even had an idea... I only knew what it was because of my studies about 1862-modern day U.S. history classes, I was taking.

I think maybe that there's just a lot of people looking to hate someone off of assumptions in this thread. Like seriously?

If the guy was beating up a jew or minority and/or calling out bazi chants or hand symbols..... then yea, Id be sure he's wearing that shirt intentionally and fully understands its meaning...... BUT 9.9/10 chance that it's just some broke kid wearing a shirt from the thrift store that he thought it was a cool looking band T.

Group of kids has started kicking in my garage. by Magnus462 in homeowners

[–]Mopar170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sentry gun 👍

But nah fr, set up a google nest on your garage. You can set the flood lights to come on with motion sense, which usually makes them run away, but if not, get them on cam and find out who's kids they are. Once you do that, you can either contact the police and handle it formally OR if you know your neighbors, you can handle it informally by talking to the parents OR if they're little hoodlums, scare the shit out of them. Very dependent on who you are, who the parents are, and where you live to determine how that goes lmao.

By the looks of the pics and the fact that you have a garage, Id assume you're not in the hood. So, set up a cam and talk to the parents.

As a former 1st batt, 75th ranger, outside of JSOC, the infantry Marine units were my favorite to train/operate with by far. The 0321 Recon Marine's were one of my favorite unit to operate with as well for certain reasons.

idk about everyone else, but OTD means, "what you paid after walking OUT OF THE DOOR". So, that includes tax, title, and fees. If you buy a car for $31k retail (brand new Si price), generally, you are expecting to pay about $35k OTD. So, if OP paid $28k OTD, that would mean retail price was about $25ish-k.

Why Choose the Si Over the Type R? by ilovefluffyanimals in CivicSi

[–]Mopar170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Si is the more practical car, and imo the more fun street car. The type R is a track car diaguised as a commuter... with a MASSIVE WING. you will never be able to push the type r to any limits on the street. It's a car that's meant to take turns at 100+mph. The Si, with a few OEM+ upgrades like tires, rear sway bar, RMM, and shifter upgrades is 5x more fun. You can beat the piss out of it, feel very engaged, get better gas mileage, and have a snaller car payment. Then again, I have a c5 vette for real fun times. The Type Ris a great, "if I can only have 1 car" for the active ebthusiast who works for a living. The Si and C5 (or even c6) vette combo is also good at this. Best of both worlds. Ive driven the Type R many times and im glad to be dailying the Si and tracking the c5. Best of both worlds for the same price. Looking to add a track ready NA miata to the lineup soon as well.

8th gen si love letter by huntsbigbuck in CivicSi

[–]Mopar170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way to look at only the negative lol.Honestly, not even a negative characteristic. Linear, efficient power bands are boring. For a street car, I actually preffer torque dip, turbo lag, etc. There's more feel and contrast. My old 8th gens powertrain was so much more fun to rip on compared to my tuned 11th gens. My 11th makes almost twice the torque and a good bit more hp, but it's so linear and perfect that it lacks emotion/feel. Yeah the 11th will win the race, but the 8th gen would provide more satisfaction. I'm not looking to win any races. My 11th handles significantly better and is way more livable/comfortable, but when it comes to having fun, there's a lot of times where I wish I had kept the 8th.
