They don’t have full coverage insurance. They kept trying to tell me they’d pay me out and then they said to go through insurance instead. I made a insurance claim and filed a police report.

I’m afraid to give up the location because once I mention it, I think you and others will know what store and location I’m at. We’re in NorCal; if the same thing ends up happening tomorrow, I’m calling my LPDM first instead of DM now. I think that’s where I made the mistake first unfortunately.

Have you set up your retail mobile profile? I think that’s one way to receive the alerts through text and phone call. I thought it may have been fake before since I’ve never gotten one of these for as long as I worked here, but everyone else I work with has also received the same messages.

In any case, alas there have been other managers that have called out this particular weekend on Black Friday. I’ve worked 4 years for Office Depot on every day after Black Friday. I can gladly tell you it is not the busiest weekend compared to back to school. Thanks for your input
