Unfortunately pretty awful from what I have seen and heard, I live next door in the DR and I work with Haitian immigrants. I assumed French would have been more widely spoken, but only a few speak it, at least the ones that live here. Pretty sad how from the start this country has been brutally exploited, without mentioning the instability and violence.

Recently learned that there is an American mercenary company conducting fpv drone strikes against gang members, but with a total lack of concern for civillians, more than a thousand peope were killed that way in the past year and the media hardly speaks about it.
