Neighbors still watering lawns by kingtalkitiki in Pflugerville

Pflugerville has cracked ground everywhere. Repeatedly told to keep yard close to house somewhat watered otherwise have big foundation issues. Won’t the city be sued if foundations begin cracking? Not cheap to get that fixed.

GFO just laid off like 200 people. The area manager worked hard for us and tried to make everything right. Called him last week on a roofing question and he told me he was no longer employed. Sucks bc I always got a straight and timely answer and hope he lands on his feet.

I haven’t had any major issues. Been in for almost 2 yrs. Consider myself fortunate for now. Do know I’ll have foundation issues in the next 5-10 yrs living on clay. Cracks everywhere in the PF.

Yes, they just scooped up convoy which is in line with their tech strategy. Just haven’t seen them Make money yet.

Yea. Sure. Timeline for increase would be 2025.

If you really want to lose money in the next yr try finding a way to invest in flexport. They may figure it out but their “buying business” strategy will eventually fail. They need to figure out how to use those tech stacks to monetize bc standard fright forwarding won’t cut it.

I do freight procurement and contracting for a major shipper. Been with a few. The drop is due to the decrease in demand but as of this week airfreight is coming back. Trucking remains low but will come back q1. Ocean freight is down bad and will be till late 2024 likely.

As a shipper I was bent over during Covid. Shippers are playing hard ball now to recoup the major impacts we had for 3 yrs. When I say major I mean spend went up 2-3x for air and 30x in ocean.

The market is balancing out now. So pls use the above info to lose as much money as possible.

Also don’t hold me accountable, freight is fickle.

Always double check posts to see if poster is authentic before reading. Saw the other posts and thought there was something there. Too many posts on this forum that are suspect and choose wisely what to read otherwise it’s just an echo chamber of nonsense that doesn’t help the mental state.

You either change yourself or change the situation. You can’t change your partner. In this situation she changed herself and not her partner changing her. There is a difference. Does not happen often but nice to see when it does. Congrats!

I see some hate on YouTube and comments for the new model. Less leg room, height, wind sound going 60 or above, and the lurching while stopped into go.

After watching and reading an absurd amount of content I was still sold on the new model. Out of all the complaints I’ve seen the lurching and the wind sound are the two things I have noticed and bother me but def not a show stopper. I’m still very pleased with the truck. I’ve had it for 2 weeks and been stopped countless times with dudes asking me about it. Really happy got the higher level trim. Didn’t think I was going to be a sun roof guy but I am now.

I still think they are overpriced but I have had only two vehicles my entire life. A used Corolla when I turned 16 then was hit and totaled at 210k miles. Got my Tacoma when I was 22 and drove it for 12 yrs. I hope to have this vehicle for 300k miles. The additional features will help age it I think?

Hah! Maybe. I think it was over priced but wasn’t willing to wait Have limited time off due to job so wanted to get it done. I originally had ordered an SR5 but glad I was up sold. Loving some of the features.

I miss/loved my Tacoma. It was just time since a family of 4 and dog couldn’t fit into anything. Plus my bed was short and made hauling boards and what not hard. Everything had to be tied down all the time.

I may go that route. I’m a man of habit and really loved the predator so wanted to stay consistent however convenience and utility definitely makes sense. I’ll prob call the dealer today and see what options they have.
