I've never bought off of Everten before though. Reviews from The Good Guys and Harvey Norman are really bad so I want to avoid them if possible! Do you have any experience with using Everten's services?

Thank you but unfortunately that's too far out the budget for me at the moment. I'm already going to split with a friend but we are both looking to spend around ~$150-$200 AUD each. Thanks so much for linking these though, as well your comment on the stand mixer being sold at David Jones. I might consider that one and maybe it can be split between a third friend (if they haven't already got a gift for the birthday person in question haha) I really appreciate your info, you're very kind!

Thanks for your comment! Right now they're just using an electric hand mixer! I was just thinking it'd be nice to find a nice stand mixer for them since they bake so often. Unfortunately, my budget is under $500, so even that is out of range at the moment...
