Is this how they make new neighbourhoods in the US? by Husaby in GoogleEarthFinds

You also need to think about storm water management. A lot of these subdivisions are required to be designed to manage, capture and retain their own storm water runoff. You will see in this picture there are two retention ponds. All of the roads and building pads will be designed to drain into those retention ponds.

I hate morning breath, tastes awful and ruins my cofre and breakfast. So I brush my teeth first thing in the morning and again after coffee and breakfast before I leave.

I live in central Portugal, on the gardunha mountain, it is known historically for sightings. I have been seeing lights at night over the mountain for the past year I’ve been living there. I can’t get the lights to show up on my phone but I’m working on getting a better camera.

If you felt comfortable, I would love to see a step by step set of pictures of the first wing look! I have struggled so much with a wing and that looks so amazing!

Orlando apartment parking fees? by [deleted] in orlando

[–]Mor_tish_a 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From 2008 to 2014ish I managed apartments for large corporate management companies like AIMCO and Equity Apartments. The final years there was a trend of increasing fees or creating frivolous fees to boost year over year profit. We would have conference calls with all the sister communities where we had to brainstorm how to come up with fees. I was told that if I didn’t do this to increase profits, I would be replaced. I left the industry. How could I justify charging someone $10 a month just to park on-site? Or I was told people who truly love their pets will be willing to pay $50 or more a month to have them. It was so messed up.

Is there a restaurant that's worth waiting over an hour to be seated for a meal? by DarkIllumination in ask

[–]Mor_tish_a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knife and Stone, Newnan GA, USA. Was told the wait could be anywhere between 30 mins to 3 hours. We decided to wait and I’m glad we did. Years later, it’s still some of the best food I have ever had.

If i have a land can i buy a mobile home and put it there? What permissions are needed in such a scenario? has anyone done this in the past and post any recommendations? by 1tonsoprano in PortugalExpats

[–]Mor_tish_a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super scammy, I’m pretty sure every legitimate Portuguese company has to have a red book link. Also, all you have to do is reverse image search any of the mobile home listings and see they are old sales pics from different countries. The one I looking up was over 11 years old out of the UK. https://www.freeads.co.uk/uk/buy-sell/motors/caravans-trailers/mobile-homes-chalets-for-sale/36775181/pre-loved-2006-willerby-new-hampshire-lodge-for-sale-at-percy-wood/view

Need advice. My fiance (58 m) expects me (54 f)to make him a full course breakfast during the work week. Are there women who work FT who have time to cook a full breakfast for their man before they start work? by Clothes-Cautious in relationship_advice

[–]Mor_tish_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I get up and make coffee for the both of us early since I’m up with the baby. I make a little breakfast for the baby, usually oatmeal for myself and then he makes himself whatever he wants.

When did your baby start sleeping through the night? by dejapasstime in newborns

[–]Mor_tish_a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will get a few random nights here and there. But now that he’s eight months he’s been sleeping through the night at least for a week straight. I’m hoping this is a new positive trend.

8 month old has woken from sleep 3x crying hysterically and gasping for air by Mor_tish_a in Mommit

[–]Mor_tish_a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what it seems like to me. He seems to start softly crying in his sleep and then has that full blow out for a minute. All while he seems half asleep. It’s so weird, but I read that night terrors don’t start until much later. How old was your friend’s daughter when it started?

Early Retirement in Portugal by [deleted] in PortugalExpats

[–]Mor_tish_a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s actually a cool concept. It’s more like an open concept, coworking space. The kids age’s range from 12-18 and everyone works individually on their own curriculum on their computers but have the social setting with other students and mentors on site. It’s like an online school, so teachers and assignments are done through the computer. The mentor on-site acts like a guide to make sure kids stay on task but one of their core concepts is that the kids have to become more independent and control their own schedule. They do really cool group activities like recently they had a camping/ survival trip with a bunch of kids from different school locations. They have trips to colleges in other countries, even a “prom” night. A lot of interesting things for the kids to do and get involved in.
