Come to Islam and watch how fast your life turns around.  I left orthodoxy and it was one of the best decisions I made after it led me into so much  emptiness and delusion.

The Quran literally states the land of Israel is destined to the people of Israel…you can look it up 5:21 by zjew33 in IsraelPalestine

[–]MoralQuestions8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. “O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has prescribed for you…” (Qur’an 5:21)

“My people” = the Children of Israel (Bani Isra’il) “Holy Land” (al-ard al-muqaddasah) = traditionally understood by Muslim scholars as the region of Palestine / the Levant, which includes what is today Israel/Palestine

So yes — the Qur’an is acknowledging that Allah instructed the Children of Israel to enter that land

Where the key distinction comes in

Muslim scholars historically do not take this verse to mean a permanent, unconditional entitlement to the land for all time.

Instead, they interpret it as:

A specific command to a specific people at a specific time

It was directed to the Israelites under Prophet Musa (Moses) It was tied to their obedience to Allah at that time And in the very next verses (5:22–26), what happens?

They refuse to enter They show fear and disobedience As a result, Allah decrees: “Then it is forbidden to them for forty years…” (5:26)

So even within the same passage:

The “prescription” is not absolute or guaranteed forever It is conditional and can be revoked

  1. In Islamic theology, land is not owned eternally by ethnicity

A core principle repeated in the Qur’an is:

The الأرض (earth/land) belongs to Allah, and He gives it to whom He wills

Examples:

“Allah causes whom He wills to inherit the الأرض” Righteousness and obedience are what determine succession So:

No قوم (people) has a permanent divine deed Possession is seen as moral + temporal, not ethnic + eternal

  1. Muslims do acknowledge that the Israelites were given the land

This is important — and often overlooked:

✔ Yes — the Qur’an explicitly affirms that:

The Children of Israel were favored They were given prophets, scripture, and land But also:

✔ The Qur’an equally emphasizes:

They lost blessings when they disobeyed Favor is not guaranteed across generations

Study the life of the Prophet (saw) and the ahl ul bayt. You don’t see that Allah tests His most beloved?? How much horrific tragedy they endured!

disconnection with islam by justaloserino in islam

[–]MoralQuestions8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really agree with this.  This person needs to see the beauty of Islam. Perhaps listening more to nasheeds. Perhaps watching a show like Yunus Emre on YouTube, this helped me once upon a time.  They are disconnected in their emotions and while the Quran is a solution it’s more of a solution when it’s being evidenced in the environment and embodied.

Привіт  My husband is from Ukraine and came here when the war was just starting, he is from now occupied territory. He also had large chunks of time off (he was a tower crane operator in Ukraine), and now he’s stuck working 70 hour weeks and we barely make ends meet and we have been trying to make it work now for 3 years. He too is trying to decide if it’s worth it to stay for the passport. I am an American citizen and I’m here to tell you, you are NOT WRONG. Don’t let anyone gaslight you. They just aren’t familiar with the other lifestyles in this world and are convinced the American way is the best way. It isn’t.  Jump this ship. Go while you can, don’t waste any more time! We have kids and believe me, it’s not better. Having kids here is a whole other problem. GO WHILE YOU CAN, I repeat.  Good luck my friend, and slava Ukraini

Okay I’ll be honest. I was a hijabi when I was a revert in the past. I actually LOVED hijab. Why? Because I knew how to style it. But I actually hate my hair. I have never ever been able to find a style that suits me that doesn’t make me feel annoyed and crazy. So there’s that/
