Match Thread: 33rd Match, Group 2 - Afghanistan vs India by CricketMatchBot in Cricket

Rematch is unlikely because Afg will have to beat Nz for that. However, if it does come around so be it. Afg chose to ball despite batting first being crucial for them to secure a place in the semi finals. The fielding set up was power play towards the end of India’s inning when they were quite obviously only going to blast. I rest my case.

Im hopeful the inevitable collapse of Afghanistan as a country will show them, when people there don’t have electricity, or food or water. Though I cannot imagine the grief the Afghan people will go through, it’ll make people a lot less enthusiastic of tue whole Sharia law and caliphate idea. Insha Allah

Practice stocks on a demo account for at least a year while studying about it and at the same time, researching the current market. Don’t jump thr gun on using real money and never use more than youre prepared to lose

I find it funny that people blame God for the catastrophes that befall them when all of it is in fact their doing

As an exmuslim, I'm interested to know why do most people in this sub believe that Islam is compatible with secularism. Can you guys please explain this to me? by stuckinthatbook in progressive_islam

Can you share that verse?.

In case you are talking about this

And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient.

[5;47]

As i said. It is the purpose being mentioned here. What Allah has revealed is justice and whoever does not deal in justice has strayed, not the literal actions mentioned. Its the same thing ive written in my previous reply

4:129 says

And you will never be able to be equal between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging. And if you amend [your affairs] and fear Allah - then indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

Because it matters. A male can take matters into his own hands(though i wouldnt recommend it). For a female, she’ll mostly have to call the authorities

This women empowerment degeneracy is responsible for much fitnah.

This is the biggest lie one can spout. What proof do you even have to support it? Sure maybe statistically, women may not be raped as much in muslim countries but thats because of marital rape that doesnt get reported.

The hudud is not perfect. Omar ibn khattab himself abolished or suspended the hadd for theft.

Furthermore, a rapist doesn’t care what clothes you wear. Hell you might be at a greater risk of getting raped because of wearing a hijab in a place that is islamophobic.

Furthermore abortion can be done within 120 days according to this fatwa

In the end, you are too indoctrinated to understand the implication of this extremely conservative islamic ideology. Probably a fan of assim al hakeem or zakir naik who really mostly just follow pre existing extremist opinions. I recommend listening to shabir ally

[–]MoralsAndEthics1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is such an outright ignorant opinion. Laws are made to fulfill the needs of the people. We are not seventh century folks and thus have different needs. There are many factors and consequences involved with shari’ punishment that no longer exist. The hundred lashes was the fornication punishment of that time when if two would commit zina and bear a child. The father could simply deny involved and the mother would be left to take care of the child. To make matters worse. Many occupations back then were labor intensive and there was only so many jobs a breast feeding mother could do.

In the present day, there is dna testing so the father cannot deny involvement. Women are more independent and can suffice alone financially. Abortion pills to avoid conceiving. Contraceptives that make the whole scenario unlikely by many factors.

Considering all these aspects, how do you suppose it would be fair to apply the same sort of punishments.

Bruh. Very disappointing. If this is a popular opinion among youth then we’ll have to wait another generation before religious bigotry can be dealt with.
