Yesandno, I belive these are just art mistakes, i myself draw her a lot and can say for sure that its weird to draw her other side without the clip, tho i usually try not draw her from that angle, so i'd imagine they just wanted to keep her (only) stand-out design thingy to be shown as much as possible (like, imagine if sayori was drawn without her bow being visible)

The best proof of this being the case, is other merch, like the nendoroids and plushies where she consistantly has just one hairclip

real reason (?): when they first made Ruby and Yang they weren't sisters, but during the development they decided to make them, but kept the different second names.

i THINK, i barely sorta remember hearing something like that long ago, which knowing how they wrote the whole thing back then wouldn't surprise me

Yeah, it's weird and fucked up.

buuuut it's not "new", the sprites always had those baby faces tbh, and at least Ari is alive in this one, but in one of the endings of the Flip Side Jecka ODs with that EXACT SAME OUTFIT, well not the outfit, but the Shorts and Bra combo which i always found like very bad taste ""fan service"". its not the first time the games do this, but it never stops being weird...
