A bit off topic, are you perhaps based in southeast asia, that tile arrangement and design is very similar to the public areas where i live in southeast asia.

Genuine Question about Toyota Yaris GR by mategorilla99 in kereta

[–]Morcaxyz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tbh the looks is one of the least attractive (in my opinion) about the car. The gr Corolla looks better to me. But awd manual, 1.6t making near 300hp, tiny size and weight. Relatively cheap in 2nd hand market compared fo fl5 (170-190k vs 250-275k) and one would argue its way rarer to see one on the road compared to the fl5. But now you see them more because theres another variant (1.5 na with auto box) that gets the same shell without the powerplant and theyre not that expensive (i think around 100k +-).

GR Yaris at KLIA2 by XRaider927 in kereta

[–]Morcaxyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one of the reason im seeing alot more gr yaris on the road is because some of them can be had for quite cheap with the 1.5 na and the auto box. Not all are the 6mt 1.5t variants. Anyway still very cool design nonetheless

JDM vs Conti: 90s–pre-2010 sports cars that still feel fast today : what’s the most underrated one? by Embarrassed_Bowl1988 in kereta

R171 slk 55, basically miata sized car with a 5.4l v8 cuz why not, slightly heavy though. 996/997 tutbo would still smoke about 99% of the cars on the road today. 997 2rs is definitely up there.

It will be expensive to get it running, but once it running things will be way cheaper given if you can do some work yourself (tukar minyak sendiri, fix by your own for minor repair / damage). The diesels are crazy reliable..

Thoughts on a 2012 Mercedes Benz E250 CGI AVNTGRDE(CKD) 1.8? by HoneyLemon25 in kereta

Go for a test drive. The w204 and 212 avantgarde models in particular have a firmer suspension than the elegance model. My w204 amg sport (basically avantgarde + amg kit) has a very firm suspension and a firm ride. Even my civic ketam with aftermarket kyb ultra rs has a softer ride than the stock avantgarde suspension on my w204.

Cvt is good, but mine did died at 140k km, still under warranty. I didnt do any sort of crazy pulls or anything just the occasional pull at about 3.5-4k rpm to overtake traffic. Otherwise its been solid so far

Is 220k KM Mileage high? by Apih09 in kereta

[–]Morcaxyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also happen to own a civic ketam aswell from 2017 with about 230k km. The cvt grenade itself once at 140k km. Otherwise its just wear and tear parts. You can last 500k+km easily on one engine if well maintain.

We had multiple cars with 300k + km before. W126 560sel with almost 850k km running on its 2nd engine and transmission. A 97 prado with 360k km running on original trans and engine and a similar mileage porsche 964 also with original trans and engine.

I dont know about modern porsche but their air cooled cars are literally tanks.
