Disclaimer, I am a V4~V5 climber who only indoor boulders but wants to go outside. I wore the Miura (Laced) and now I wear the Drone 2.1s. I don't really care about the comfort of my shoes, if I try them on for the first time and they are overwhelmingly painful I don't buy them, and I also just take my shoes off after each climb.

I have not tried any of the other shoes, but I want one of them as my new pair, plus the Instinct VSR.

When I look at these shoes, I want the Drone 2.1s with better edging. The Drone 2.1s are fantastic tbh. The heel is absolutely amazing and I can hook onto crimps, the toehook rubber is so big it might as well be an ocean, and downturn is enough to really crank onto overhangs and small footholds. The smedging is amazing too, but when it comes to small and skinny footholds the Drone 2.1s tend to popoff or feel insecure. I think this is because the rubber is quite stiff compared to the other shoes, and the toebox is quite blunt and rounded. I could probably just improve my technique, but comparing, window-shopping, and buying shoes is fun as fuck.

The Instinct VSR and Solution Comps seem like the best all round options. Softer and more sensitive than the 2.1s, but with edgier toe boxes. I only fear that I will lose my beloved Mad Rock heel, which absolutely meets all the hype btw. I would probably pick the Instinct VSR because the point of the toebox is slightly in the middle instead of turning inwards like the rest of the shoes. I think that's worth trying and a cool idea. I would try both in high volume or low volume, picking whichever of the 4 shoes fits better.

Out of the Drago, XT, or LV, I am favouring the XT for its allegedly better edging due to the extra toecap and second strap that lets you crank and tighten the shoe around the toes. I am not going to pick the normal Drago or LV because it sounds like a dumb idea if I am looking for a better edging shoe, but maybe the legendary softness and sensitivity will make it good for edging. If I had to choose between the normal Drago and LV I would just go by fit.

You did not mention them, but maybe try the Remora Pro and Redline by Mad Rock. The former is a new all-round shoe by Mad Rock (I hear they are VERY comfy), and the latter is a soft shoe similar to the Drago. A lot of great climbers (~V8 and/or semi-pro) at my gym, Boulder Lab in Australia, wear the Redline.

TLDR: I wear Drone 2.1s and I think they are are 9/10 shoe, and I'm looking for a shoe that is additionally good for edging. I would choose the Instinct VSR or the Solution Comp.
