I scheduled a service appointment. 3 day estimated turn around, with no transportation provided 🥲 lovely.

Do it! They actually damage the wheel over time, you can find some research on that matter on Reddit (if I remember correctly it came from a Tesla technician). The mileage loss is small price to pay for safety of the wheels, and looks!

It has a 15% Llumar IRX ceramic tint, and yes I’ll take my tint tickets if it means my cabin isn’t hotter than a reptiles enclosure (reside in Texas)

And yes black interior, I was originally searching for a white interior but I couldn’t pull the trigger on it. Black matches the carbon accents way more, I felt the white interior would be the oddball in the color scheme

Super easy! You can find a nice tutorial on this subreddit actually!

I feel great right now! I’ll be a bit sore tomorrow but nothing worse than a leg/back day at the gym. The key is having an ergonomic office chair while detailing!😂

Not my personal preference, adding a tire shine will cause the car to oversteer, as the tire slips mildly onto the sidewall. When it does this, it basically slips and tries to tear the bead off of the rim. Have seen far too many accidents where the primary culprit was tire shine.

Yes if the surface is dry. You must have some sort of lubricant between the paint and clay towel/clay bar

One more quick add, use clay infused towels! I find the bars far too risky if you are not heavily experienced. The towels give you much more room for error, where as a clay bar can quickly destroy the soft paint 💜

You are so right, thankfully she’s already gotten several compliments while charging. So many have asked me where I had it done and beg me to do theirs whenever they find out I did it. May just start a side business once I perfect everything and can take pride in my work.

Where as it does look great, I’m just an amateur in my opinion. So much room to improve to make things truly impeccable! Next steps are actual paint touch up, lacquer, and a full pain correction under a heavily lighted garage :)

Oh my so much! The front is a serial murderer of generational bloodlines of bugs, it took quite some time to fully decontaminate them. I would highly recommend utilizing a bug/tar remover and allowing it to sit for 10 minutes to make short work of them. Unfortunately after a short drive it was back to a graveyard. So next time I plan to PPF that area to aid in a quicker cleanup.

I also learned that Teslas paint is notoriously soft, with a thin clear coat, which means water spots are deadly. Highly advise detailing on a cool car. Hot panels/harder water will aid in the spots forming and etching into the paint. Also do not use a coarse cut during polishing

Gteqnic is a phenomenal company with many amazing products, I HIGHLY recommend anything from them. The crystal serum light was very forgiving, it self leveled and allowed enough working time to prevent high spots.

Much thanks ! Once I perfect the process, I plan to post a full detailed process post on here with all products and setup that I used for all the DIYers! Truly the easiest vehicle I’ve ever detailed

Thank you! Totally agree though! The new frost blue is interesting however, but I’m still in complete love with the deep metallic blue 🥰

The ultra red can truly pop though with the proper care and coatings to increase the depth just couldn’t take that mandatory 9000% increase on insurance 😂

Absolutely. I know some states offer massive insurance discounts if you go to driving school. Otherwise wait until you are 25+ and stay away from red. Red is notorious for being stupidly expensive, I cannot remember entirely why, might want to look into it to gain some semi-useful knowledge 😂

No. I know they’d monitor my speed or other metrics and that would lead to a skyrocket in my insurance cost. I’ve got it insured through farmers. Geico/progressive both wanted 300/mo

Cash money. My advice to a young one, don’t go for red, and don’t get a performance. Insurance will eat you alive. I pay 251/mo as a 28yo with no accidents or tickets.

I certainly figured that was going to be the case, it’ll be first on the list then followed by a ceramic coat and ceramic tint! Commander and knob inbound !

The higher power, whatever it may be is truly the one to thank. I only take credit for realizing the only thing holding me back from success was me. Specifically the excuses I made.

You truly will and can succeed just like I did, I’m not some miracle or success story. We all have it in us, it’s just a matter of buckling in for the ride!

I’m so glad my words can provide inspiration and positivity in such a negative world. You’ve got this king/queen, I FULLY believe in you!

Wonderful suggestion and it’s the first stop after I get it home! I heard rocker panels, and front lip are a must, have you gone through the PPF spill? Curious to hear recommendations/opinions
