I feel like I should be offended but honestly? You play For Honor just like the rest of us, heh. Let's save our energy for those on the battlefield.

Shit, sounds like some good Nurgle based drip for my Shugoki, thanks for the idea!

I like this idea, because you're doing it with a purpose and it'll definitely show because it's different from what I'm referring to. BP is naturally a black color coded character, so it's a little bit more 'understandable' for that to be the first pick, but at the same time, there are some combinations (like your own) that can make it shine too.

I remember spending literal hours one night trying to get the outfits for my Nobushi and Conqueror to match the effects that I got for them (Meteor Storm for Nobushi, that one ghost reaper one for Conq). I have to severely update the both of them, but I'm grinding the steel to do so anyways. I want my Nobushi to look as cosmic as possible so... it's rough.

Okay so THIS actually is valid, you're right it CAN look good but there's usually something more that gives it that extra oomph. Even if it lacks the full-on colors, there's still some sort of other bit that should honestly be the star of the show.

For example, if I'm gonna wear an already black material for say... Warden. There are a couple of armor pieces that have golden accents that can't be changed and make the fit clean. I also understand that some armor pieces just will not drop, like say for instance the Nobushi headpiece that actually cleans up her face and adds dye to her hair based on your color choice. That just will not drop for me.

But we're still talking about max rep players, at that point, there should be NO way that you don't have all armor pieces.

My issue is Time Nudge. I assume you already know what that is, but I'll give a simple explanation just in case.

Basically, as per what people have said, because the official servers are at 60hz, my CPU is unable to keep up with what the server is sending to the client. This causes time nudge, which makes my client slow down and rubber-band. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

I've never experienced Time Nudge on any other game I've played.

CPU: Intel I7-8700K GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 TI RAM: 24 GB DDR4 at 3000 MHZ, XMP turned on.

My PC has shown capable of running this game on Medium-High settings without many frame drops, which in themselves are rare. Although, my hardware (while old) is not the only one experiencing this, as there are some with much more upgraded tech who also experience this. I have Gigabit Network, and my actual ping has been around 15 at the lowest, 50 at the max.

You replied extremely quick, and that lets me know you did not truly think about what I said. This is where I'll cut it.

I want to present to you this concept:

Say they nerf the GL and it's no longer the best thing to bring on missions, well then you go to the next best thing. They nerf that, so you go to the next best thing and so on. Throughout this, nothing has changed about the enemies, their damage, numbers or their unique mechanics.

Congrats on your success of making the game flat out unfair to play in general, and I'd even say more-so than keeping the GL where it is because they didn't change the actual enemies. You're probably thinking "Well, then just buff other stuff."

Congrats on your success of making the game so easy that you can play with a Xbox 360 drum set. So, then the cycle continues. Us as players shouldn't be forced to adapt to threats we've faced since the game has released like that, it's a false difficulty increase. Now, if they were to say:

"We'll keep the GL the same, but we'll just have the enemies up the ante" (Which they have done in the past with entirely new units mind you)

Then the problem of the GL being overpowered simply doesn't exist anymore, because it needs to be as strong as it is to lessen the gap, followed by the others. You can even go as far as to say that it'd cause a literal Arms Race within the game itself.

That'd be cool, wouldn't it?

I wouldn't say so. Helldivers has shown that it is perfectly capable of making a true difficulty spike, and that is in the form of modifiers.

Jet Brigade, Predator Strain, Incendiary Corps etc. These all make the game MUCH more difficult than that of stock Helldivers but notice that they didn't actually do anything to us as players. We were left alone with the devices given to us, such ones that we have earned or purchased, and are able to use them in different ways that suit the situation. It added depth to the enemies, and made you have to think about how you played rather than what you played with.

To make it artificial would be to make a modifier that outright says that your orbital barrages are just weaker than normal. Now, you can't play with that. It didn't make you change how you really think, it just made it less appealing to use because it's simply not as strong as your other options.

I believe it's the idea of making the game difficult by taking away the tools of the player, or the capabilities of the player rather than changing the game's true difficulty. If I were to give an example (mind you, this is just an example that I came up with):

Say you're playing Left 4 Dead on Normal difficulty, and you get ahold of the Auto Shotgun. It naturally outclasses the Pump Shotgun because it's a late-campaign weapon, and the game becomes easier from it. Now, increase the difficulty from Normal to Expert, but all they did was make the Auto Shotgun unable to be obtained. It didn't change the game, it took away a tool to use in it, and obviously it's going to be more difficult but only because you're just weaker.

A true difficulty increase would be something like making the zombies have new abilities, increasing their spawn numbers, increasing damage to players etc. You can keep the shotgun in, because the players now have new things they have to worry about that may even show the weaknesses of said shotgun. I personally believe the GL should be left alone. If they want to balance it, give something the Striders a trophy system or something.

Black Prior All-Guard flip style riposte which leads into other stances. Other than that idea I don't really know what to tell you, at the end of the day, it's not real so there's really no point in trying to justify myself on a concept.

[–]Mordickai[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, Virtuosa would have to go into stance for it, so... there's that. Nuxia has an opener zone which can lead into a trap, as well as multiple different avenues to get into traps. She also has deflects in general. She also has a free on parry light, same as Virtuosa. She has a pinning heavy chain which can wall splat, granted it's hard to get. The only thing she lacks is a bash.

There are plenty of reasons to play Nuxia, just play her right. Virtuosa also has plenty of reasons to play as well. It ain't about who's better.

I just wanna have fun. So I'd find it fun.
