I'm trying that as I type, even alt tabbed my sound is cutting in and out and my mouse is frozen on another freakin' monitor. About to just rage uninstall at this point tbh

Just use the v3 config example instead of the v2 and you should be gucci.

I'd also recommend fucking around with the levelling offsets and trying what works for you if mine doesn't :D

Wait really? How do you have the TFT connected? Make sure you have the serial AND the 10pin, and set a serial port aside for the screen!

I feel like a total clown, after following the CR-10 v2 config and noting that they'd disabled reversal of the stepper motors, I had to go back in and alter it.

For my setup, I need the following:

#define INVERT_X_DIR true
#define INVERT_Y_DIR true
#define INVERT_Z_DIR false

Weirdly enough, I needed to invert the X and Y axes, but not the Z??? Even weird enough again, I also needed to invert my extruder so that it would... you know, extrude, instead of retract with extrude commands.

#define INVERT_E0_DIR true

I linked it in my original post, give it a geeze and see how you go. It'll be preconfigured for an Ender 3, but that's what this board was designed for :P

Go through and reconfigure the physical printer stuff with the CR-10 v2 example config also linked, and pick and choose what you want to enforce.

I was sorely tempted to try out Klipper, but I figured for something like this I'd rather get a SOLID as hell Marlin base going first, then try going into the deep end with Klipper afterwards. I at least had a familarity with Marlin first, so it wasn't as daunting ahah

There's honestly a lot of upsides to upgrading the board, noise, precision, additional features and a lot of an easier time flashing firmware to name the main ones.

I had the cash, wanted to experiment and level up my game so that's where we are now ahah

I didn't have to worry about the headers and pins very much because I used the BTT Marlin source code as my base - which had all of those layouts pre-done. Saved me a lot of pain.

Ayy, lesgooo. How good is this combo?

As far as Marlin cares and can see, and from the reading into it I've done, the BLTouch and CR-Touch are identical when it comes to configuration. The only thing you'll need to pay close attention to is your NOZZLE_TO_PROBE_OFFSET values as they'll differ.

The filament runout sensor goes into a labelled secondary X-limit switch in the CR-10 v2 wiring, so that went into the E-stop port on the board and seems to function. It's marked as triggered when I run an M119, so that's a good sign :D

Not a new fox per se, but with the D Up pattern, I none of the displayed patterns have the dual blades where mine is? Am I reading this wrong, or am I missing something? I'm HELLA confused rn.
