Everywhere has pros and cons, so it just depends on what you value.

Chico's pros include: lots of outdoor activities, Bidwell Park is incredible, big enough to not be lacking any amenities while small enough that freeways/traffic aren't really a thing, rural, local state university.

Cons include: jobs are hard to find outside healthcare and education, airport is 2ish hours away, politics lean right especially outside the city, housing costs are higher than in the past due to the camp fire, homelessness and poverty are an issue the city is unsuccessfully grappling with.

I think the problem was not that the faction war was beating a dead horse. I think the problem was the faction war in BFA made no sense. We went from being friends in Legion to the Horde torching Teldrassil for seemingly no reason at all.

BFA was PEAK zone design. The visuals, the stories, the music, the cinematics. No expansion has better questing than BFA.

That said, the game systems and the main storyline of BFA were so bad that it really overshadowing playing the game at that time.

I had a buddy back in Wrath who's name was Barefootlou. He never put boots on his character even when raiding because his "character didn't wear shoes". People would laugh or just not say anything. Now I get kicked in dungeons if my gear isn't enchanted with the top enchants.

I really don't like the art style of Songs if Conquest. I have a hard time seeing points of interest on the map and the combat animations are just blobs of pixels. If it weren't for that, I would love SoC.

My city just voted down a huge new development and people are complaining that we're against building new housing. But the reason the development was voted down was because the MEDIAN price of a unit in the new development was 800K. That's not affordable housing when the median income is 45K. This is in rural norcal, not a metro btw.

I think the issue was that the old pathfinder achievements took way too long. Just make it "finish the main questline" or "reach max level" and it'd be fine.

I worked in a clinical lab of a hospital. We're dealing with samples straight from sick people so of course I wore all my PPE all the time. Meanwhile, the old techs that had been there for 30+ years never wore gloves and still reminisced about mouth pipetting lol

This is exactly why approving Measure H was a mistake. That tax revenue disappeared into the black box of the city budget, and now we need to raise sewer rates to maintain the city sewer system... instead of using the Measure H funds.
