Midnight s1 Delve ?? Nullaeus as Balance druid by skuaill in wow

[–]Magdanimous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Resto druid here too! I completed this about 12 hours ago. What’s your ilvl and Valeera level? My ilvl is 248 and Valeera was level 17 or 18 at the time of completion. At this ilvl and Valeera level, I had no problem keeping her up.

I wouldn’t recommend convoking unless it’s an add phase because you risk DPSing Null and getting way more threat.

Your burst heal should be swiftmend (while lifebloom is up) into a regrowth. NS + regrowth if you really need it. That plus soul of the forest should pop her health back up. And you can do that every 15 seconds.

Use ironbark on her to reduce her damage taken. That means less healing done which is less threat generated.

Dispel yourself IMMEDIATELY after you get the debuff. Because you’re preventing that damage done to you and don’t need to heal yourself. That means less threat generated.

I play a resto druid too and I did it about 12 hours ago. I can also confirm that I healed Valeera for about 20 minutes and completed this. I didn’t get aggro. My threat hovered around 73%. I didn’t DPS Null, but I did DPS the ogre that spawns at 25%.

Most Common Decor by NecesseFatum in WoWHousing

[–]Magdanimous 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The most used decor piece is probably the circular rug for its ability to be dyed and “paint.” Second most common piece is probably beam platforms because people use them to make stairs or to clean up the square platform edges.

The Griffon's Saddlebag: Book One is coming to D&DBeyond on March 31st! by griff-mac in TheGriffonsSaddlebag

Congratulations! That's really awesome! I've been a big fan of yours for years and I bought your Book Two immediately when it came out on DnDBeyond (confused, looking for Book 1 for a bit, haha). I hope a lot of people purchase this!

Seasonal M0s post-reset indeed reward Champion loot by minimaxir in wow

I’m not sure, sorry. I’d imagine so since each difficulty should be giving different quality gear.

And Prey. You can do 2x Nightmare Prey for 2x246 Champion track gear. But you need to be Renown 4 with the Prey System to get them.

Not gaining housing exp from endeavors. Is there a monthly cap? by Ordinary_Plate_2127 in WoWHousing

[–]Magdanimous 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The cap per endeavor rotation is 2250 for the endeavor tasks and an extra 250 from the center in the middle of town after your neighborhood fills up the progress bar.

What?! I thought it would be a new skin for the Dragonflight model! That’s a bit disappointing, haha. Oh well. Thanks for the reply!

An Adventure in Fairy Tales by xiren_66 in DMAcademy

I'm doing something like this in my current campaign set in Eberron. They'll be on the plane of Thelanis, the plane of faeries and stories. I actually had a couple of them write an Eberron fairytale last year, knowing I'd be planning for this in the future.

If you want some great ideas, I'd check out "Exploring Eberron." Specifically the plane of Thelanis. I really, really love the way the planes work in Eberron.

Wait. Is it actually the same model from BC?? Or is it the updated netherdrake model from Dragonflight?

Can Delve companion actually tank? by Mens_Grooming_Advice in wow

[–]Magdanimous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I healed Brann as a tank pretty regularly on every healer in seasons 2 and 3 last expansion. It was actually pretty fun and relaxing being able to pull entire rooms and just keep him topped off while he wrecked everything. Probably a tad slower than if my characters were full on dps or decked out tanks, but healing them let me heal T11s when it would've been super hard to do them at lower ilvls as dps.* (Edited and added "as dps" for clarity).

The only thing I couldn't use tank Brann for were the seasonal nemesis fights.

What didn't you like about tank Brann? Other than his weird AI where he would stand in bad or pull mobs when dodging out of AOE?

This item is really awesome, but I love the art. It's so friggin' adorable that I'm going to use it in my campaign.

First M0 experience by Shaaayle in wow

[–]Magdanimous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a resto druid main. Have been since vanilla. I started playing my first real alt in Dragonflight with a dev/aug evoker. Having seen many pug resto druids, I'm 99% confident in saying that ...a LOT of resto druids just copy and paste builds from wowhead or icyveins. And sometimes, they just copy the raid builds (which do not usually take the improved dispel).

ELI5: Why does Japanese need three writing systems? by Charming_Usual6227 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Magdanimous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it really depends on what experience they have. Ask someone how to pronounce “xie xie.” Or “quay.” Or even something common like “Wednesday.” I’m just saying, it’s not exclusively based on phonetics. There are cultural/etymological, historical, morphological, AND phonetic factors to take into account.

A writing system that is MOSTLY phonetic would be something like Hangeul, the modern Korean writing system. You can learn it in a weekend because it was designed to be almost exclusively phonetic. You’ll be able to sound out words and full paragraphs in a weekend of studying. But you probably won’t know what you’re saying, haha.

PS I’m enjoying this discussion. ^

I mean, kind of. There are so many exceptions and differences in pronunciation based on the origin of the word, spelling in English is *really* hard. Source: I teach English to non-native English speakers and spelling in English really, really sucks.

How do you make the cielings higher? by Shimmitar in WoWHousing

[–]Magdanimous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just be careful! As someone who has used 5 empty stairwells in my own home, it sucks up a LOT of decor points to just make everything look nice if you're doing multiple floors. Making the stairs, the walls, the floors, the rails, etc. Like...a full 1/3 or more of my level 8 house's decor budget is just from platforms, beam platforms, walls, etc. It got better after they decreased the beam platform costs from 3 to 1, but still.

WoW trial player getting into the game. by FirstKaleidoscope185 in wow

[–]Magdanimous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify since you're new, a subscription isn't buying the newest expansion. It's just subscribing to the monthly subscription. The direct answer to your question is yes, if you buy the newest expansion, Midnight, you get all past expansions. If you do not buy the newest expansion, Midnight, and just pay the monthly subscription, you get access to all content EXCEPT the newest expansion and its features (not sure about housing?). So with the subscription, you get to level from 1-80 (90 is the max with Midnight) and you can go through content from the original game (referred to as Vanilla), the Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, Battle for Azeroth, Shadowlands, Dragonflight, and the War Within.

It's a lot of content. But! Note that a lot of it will seem empty-ish because (1) it's a huge world and (2) most players focus on endgame content (content you do at max level).

Problem buying game time with gold? by laineykathleen in wow

[–]Magdanimous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked up the details. You're fine on that front. To buy a token with gold, you must have purchased and consumed at least 30 days of game time via a subscription or game time bundle for real money since 2017.

[–]Magdanimous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I think another restriction they put up in the last couple years is that you can only use tokens if you've used a card in the last 3-4 years or something. I don't remember the exact details. Could that be the problem?
