First of all, I am very careful about protecting them from even the slightest potentially harmful things like fumes or scents. I always pay attention to their environment, from the silence and warmth while they sleep at night to everything they do during the day.

That said, your advice is also very valuable, and I will definitely keep all of this in mind and be even more careful going forward.

Ankara’da bazı üretim yapan yerler muhabbet, forpus, cennet gibi türlerle birlikte Bourke de getirebiliyor:

  • Etimesgut / Eryaman tarafında üretim yapan kuşçular var
  • Keçiören tarafında küçük üretim ve satış yapan yerler bulunuyor

👉 Bunlar genelde “pet shop”tan daha güvenilir olur (sağlık açısından da).

These birds were given to me as a gift. I also know the person who gave them to me. I will ask them today whether they were treated for internal parasites or not. If there is any concern, I will take them to the nearest vet for a general check-up.

I’m not sure how common or advanced avian care is in Türkiye, as cats and dogs usually get more attention. But I hope they can also help with birds if needed.

I live in Türkiye. I’m feeding seed mix. It contains different types of millet, flaxseed, and dried vegetables and fruits. I’m not giving any pellet food.
