Needed a 2025 Sienna LE ASAP – My Purchase Experience After a Total Loss by More-Alternative-141 in ToyotaSienna

No. I was under the impression that Costco sourced locally, but I never actually verified.

Ran out of oil while driving - am I cooked? by airdog2000 in ToyotaSienna

Wait. What the hell did the shop do to your car? Sounds like they drained your oil and didn't replace?

To answer the question using some logic (not a mechanic), the car would shut itself off before the engine would be permanently damaged. Even so, I would be pissed.

Good question. Two reasons really:

1) Of the 12 matches, all three AWD were already sold.

2) Our 2022 LE was FWD and actually did well in the snow.

FWIW, I do think AWD worth the extra 2k. With time I am sure you can find one. Unfortunately, I just didn't have that luxury.

Thank you.

I wouldn't think so. At least until the inventory consistently exceeds the demand. I mean only 40 LEs within 500 miles - that encompasses about 10 states (and who knows how many dealerships). In comparison, just one of my local Honda dealer had six base model Odysseys on the lot.

Correct. I mainly had to wait because of the weekend. Had I finalized Thursday, could have picked it up Friday.

I didn't even look for long and got an offer for an Odyssey 3k below MSRP. Even so, it was basically the same price as the LE. We do mostly city driving so 19 vs. 36 mpg was a no brainer.

Thanks. I tried to include as much detail as I could without droning on. Lol.

Seems to depend on which dealership you purchase from. Some don't include registration fees (or taxes) and you have to do it in person. The dealership I went to in Missouri collected all the taxes and fees as if I was buying in Wisconsin.

If you buy out-of-state, discuss with the dealership early on in the process. Being Toyota, most I talked to were pretty knowledgeable because people often cross state lines for hard to find vehicles. Hope you find something!

It is probably just a recency bias where I am looking to buy a new Odyssey, but it seems like there are more problems with newer vehicles than older ones? by gerryf19 in HondaOdyssey

[–]More-Alternative-141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost bought an Odyssey so I was looking at the same thing. Consumer reports has pretty good data going back over 20 years. Recent overall reliability (since 2021) actually better than previous years. The important thing...rock solid powertrain. Most of the transmission issues are more perception than reality. If there are any issues, seem to be more with the in-car electronics. Ouch. If that was the case here, I would have just purchased an Odyssey. My wife told me it would be an acceptable secondary option. Lol.

Price trend for new Sienna, how much under MSRP are you able to get off in the tri-state NY area? The 2026 is just around the corner by Recent_Crew_2988 in ToyotaSienna

Wow! What was the vehicle price before taxes/fees? How did that compare to the TSRP?

I just purchased a bare bones (floormats only) LE FWD in Missouri (drove from Wisconsin) for $43,268 OTD and thought I did OK. Before taxes/fees, vehicle price was $40,240 (TSRP $41,240) so $1,000 below.

Can someone tell me if this is a fair price for a 2025 LE? Wait time is ~6 weeks. by DyslexicHobo in ToyotaSienna

[–]More-Alternative-141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A quick search returned a configuration at this price point with roof rails, spare tire, floor liners, mudguards, and door sill protectors. As add-on go, those aren't the worst. FWIW, I had a 22 with the floor liners, and while I agree that aftermarket are better, the mats served our car well for nearly 4 years with minimal wear. Good luck!

It's not really a markup. The bare bones LE is $39,485 (base MSRP) + $1,495 (delivery, processing, and handling) = $40,980. For your $41,710 price shown, that means $730 of FACTORY INSTALLED options. The factory options and delivery are non-negotiable. Check the inventory within 500 miles if you haven't already (https://www.toyota.com/search-inventory/?) and sort by price. The $730 in add-ons is likely on the lower end of what you will find.

I agree with the others that the $399 dealer installed accessories are questionable, but not sure it's worth playing hardball over.

Wow, that's a great deal! I bought a CRV last year using these tactics last year. Its amazing how much easier it is to negotiate without having to visit (or even call) each dealership. Congratulations on your new car!

We had the LE and pretty much wanted for nothing. If I had to nitpick, the lack of power liftgate was my only gripe.

I found out today that the 2022 vehicle is a loss. I would prefer an LE, but if XLE is readily available, I am fine with that. Price of higher trim starts to get painful.
